AMERICAN CORNER

American Corner UNTAN is an education cooperation between the Indonesian government

and the US government through embassy. American Corner UNTAN or commonly
abbreviated as AC UNTAN / Amcor UNTAN inaugurated on February, 16 2012 by the
American ambassador to Indonesia, Scot Marciel.
American corner UNTAN is located in UPT. Library of untan 2nd floor and ready to serve the
visitors from 8 am to 4 pm every week. In everyday activities, Amcor UNTAN involving
directors (Stella Prancisca, S. Pd, Pd) and deputy director (Nelly Naidoo, SE, M.Buss),
lecturer (Mr. Asmin), staff (Rafika, Widarti, Awaluddin and Heri) as well as by the excellent
volunteer students, amounting to 5 people (Rosalina Ulfah, Dian Ratna Sari, Rustaman, Erika
Clark and Nova Rizki Ananda).
American corner UNTAN provide a range of facilities, activities and programs that support
the improvement of skills and English language skills. In addition, UNTAN Amcor also
provides knowledge about America in terms of culture, technology, economy, places of
tourist and educational programs that support friendship and understanding between the two
countries (USA and Indonesia).
American conerr UNTAN intended for the general public, students in west Borneo. Program
at Amcor UNTAN divided into two, namely: regular programs and non-regular. Regular
programs, such as; International Communication (IC), Speaking Club (SC) and Movie
Screening (MS). As for the non-regular programs, including; Meet The Expert (MTE), Ask
An American Hour, Seminar and Presentation, Teacher Support Meeting (TSM), Camp
America (CA) and Amcor EXPO.
Like American corner UNTAN slogan, "Together We Can Do More" we are Amcor
UNTANs team invites you to join, enjoy the facilities and programs at the American Corner
UNTAN.
