Testing:thecoreteammembersalongwithenduserswilltestwhetherthe

organisation.Theywilltestwhethertheoutputdocumentssuchaspurchase
order,invoicedocumentareprintedintherequiredformatandshowingthe
correctdata.
Unittestingisrefertothemodulewhicharegoingtoimplement.SD,MM,
FICOetc.therewillbetestscriptbasedonthattestingwillbeperformed.
Integrationtestingwillbecrossthemodules.MMSDFICOforexample.
IntegrationtestingisalsocalledSIT(Systemintegrationtesting)

aloneonebyoneusingtestcasesandtestdata.Wewillnotbelookingand
checking/testinganyintegrationbetweenorderanddeliverydeliveryand
TOTOandPGIandtheninvoice.
WhereasSystemtestingyouwillbetestingthefullcyclewithit's
integration,andyouwillbetestingusingtestcaseswhichgiveafullcyclic
testfromordertoinvoice.
Securitytestingyouwillbetestingdifferentrolesandfunctionalitiesand
willcheckandsignoff.
Performancetestingisreferredtoashowmuchtime/secondwilltaketo
performsomeactions,likee.g.PGI.IfBPPdefinitionsays5secondsfor
PGIthenitshouldbe5andnot6second.Usuallyitisdoneusingsoftware.

Regressiontestingisreferredtoatestwhichverifiesthatsomenew
configurationdoesnotadverselyimpactexistingfunctionality.Thiswillbe
doneoneachphaseoftesting.
UserAcceptanceTesting:ReferstoCustomertesting.TheUATwillbe
performedthroughtheexecutionofpredefinedbusinessscenarios,which
combinevariousbusinessprocesses.Theusertestmodeliscomprisedofa
subsetofsystemintegrationtestcases.
Weusedifferentsoftwareduringtesting.Mostcommonlyuseare:
TestDirector:whichisusedtorecordrequirement,preparingtestplanand
thenrecordingtheprogress.Wewillbeincorporatingdefectsthatare
comingduringthesetestingsusingdifferenttestcases.
MercuryLoadRunner:isusedforperformancetesting.Thisisan
automatictool.

provesthedevelopedcodeworksandthatitperformedtheprocessasas
designed.
FunctionalUnitTesting=Testofconfiguration,systemsettingsoracustom

actualdataordatathatismaskedbutessentiallythesameasarealdataset.
Asuccessfultestshowsthatthedevelopmentorconfigurationworksas
designedandthedataisaccurateasaresult.
IntegrationTesting=Testingaprocess,developmentorconfiguration
withinthecontextofanyotherfunctionsthattheprocess,developmentor
functionalitywilltouchorintegrate.Thetestshouldexaminealldata
involvedacrossallmodulesandanydataindirectlyaffected.Asuccessful
testindicatesthattheprocessesworkasdesignedandintegratewithother
functionswithoutcausinganyproblemsinanyintegratedareas.

ParallelTesting=Testingthenewsystemorprocesseswithacompletedata
setwhilerunningthesameprocessesinthelegacysystem.Asuccessfultest
willshowidenticalresultswhenboththelegacysystemandnewsystem
resultsarecompared.

wanttoconductatleastonecutovertestfromtheoldsystemtothenew
andyoushouldprobablydoseveral.
