OTHER INFORMATION
The syllabus may be updated as needed throughout the semester.

Come to class prepared every day. This includes bringing your organized
notebook, pens, assignments, as well as bringing a positive attitude for the work to
be done in class that day. You will not be permitted to leave class to get something
you forgot. You are expected to give 100% of yourself during this class, and be
assured that I will do the same for you.

Many times, late work will NOT be accepted. On the occasion that it is,
late work will be accepted only for partial credit.
Make-up work for quizzes and evaluations are to be done before school or during
Guided Study by appointment only.

Make-up work is your responsibility. You need to ask me what you have
missed. If you miss a warm-up, it is your responsibility to make it up. This will only
take you 5 minutes to do. If you copy the warm-up from a friend, you will receive a 0
for the entire warm-up sheet. Make-sure you do not lose the warm-up sheet as I take
it up for a grade every two weeks. If you do lose it, the HW points cannot be made
up.

Previously assigned work/ assessments must be turned in or taken the day you
return following an excused absence. On some occasions I will collect an alternate
assignment to replace a missed daily grade if it is necessary. It will be considered late
after your first day back and will not be accepted. It would be helpful for you to have
several of your classmates' phone numbers so that you can call them before returning
to find out what to expect.

You will be doing a lot of work in groups. It is your responsibility to contribute to

the group's efforts as well as completing your individual work, failure to do so may
affect your grade.

Cheating any form will not be tolerated. This includes copying homework/
classwork and plagiarizing. No talking will be permitted during tests and
quizzes. Students deciding to cheat will receive a zero and be referred to
the Assistant Principal for disciplinary action.

Using a google or online translator is considered cheating will result in a

zero. Looking up more than one or two words at a time in a translator is also considered
cheating.

All written work must be legible, especially when it involves credit for spelling and
accents. Discrepancies could earn you a zero for the assignment, especially if I
cannot read it!! If any assessment is written in pencil, I will not give you the benefit of
the doubt if it is graded incorrectly.

All work that is done on the computer needs to be saved/backed up on

your google drive. An assignment or project that is lost due to a computer
problem (i.e. you cannot access your file because your computer is in tech
triage) will be considered late. It is your responsibility to always have
access to your files, even from a different computer.

Behavior Policies

No student will be permitted to interfere with another's right to learn. Do not

interrupt the teacher or another student while s/he is speaking. All students have an
important contribution to make in this class, and no one's presence is to be trivialized.
You are responsible for being in the classroom and ready to work when the bell
rings. If you are tardy without a written excuse from another teacher, then you must
go to the front office for a pass, or you will be turned in AWOL. On the same note, you
must remain in your seat until the bell rings.

Attend to personal grooming and/or restroom usage before or after class, not
during.
(I understand we all have emergencies. ) DO NOT ask me to use the restroom during
the passing period. If you have time, go! But you must arrive to class on time.

***All policies noted in the Student Handbook will be followed in this class. ***
The teacher reserves the right to make changes to grading, scope, and sequence of
course material.

NOTE TO PARENTS: I am looking forward to working with your son/daughter this
