Establish your core message and build around it
How to analyse your audience

The introduction to storytelling and humour

Module Four: Design & Develop to Build Confidence in You and Your Message

Before beginning his training career, Steve worked for one of the oldest and most established
brokerage houses in Canada. His role within the company was that of regulatory compliance
and education.
After realizing his true passion was in education he decided to change his career path and
focus more on teaching. This brought him to Malaysia ten years ago and he has worked within
all areas of education here ever since. In this time he has been involved in instruction, training
and curriculum development within the ESL community and the corporate world.

Mr Muhs is an enthusiastic and dedicated trainer who operates an active classroom and
always keeps his course participants amused and challenged. He thrives on challenges and is
always looking for ways to make his training better.

With over 14 years of public speaking experience, he has a very acute understanding of what
is required in order to get ideas across clearly and in an engaging manner. He regularly
participates in workshops and training sessions, often giving presentations to upwards of 2000
participants. He is also a HRDF certified trainer.

Muhs is an excellent communicator and has enjoyed working with a variety of companies
throughout Asia, designing and facilitating courses that have cooperatively met their

GORDON REID
Mr Reid is a former British Diplomat with over 25 years of experience working in a wide range
of jobs, countries and regions of the world. He has lived and worked in Malaysia since 2003,
initially as Director of Trade & Investment at the British High Commission and, since 2007, as
an English specialist, management & soft skills trainer, and freelance writer/editor/proofreader.

In his career, Gordon has had extensive hands-on experience in producing reports and other
business documents on a wide range of subjects. He is also a specialist in teaching how to
write effective, clear English. In addition to technical report writing, Gordon also delivers
courses on presentation and public speaking, negotiation, communication and motivation, and
both general and business English. Among the companies Gordon has trained are Ambank,
Tractors Malaysia/Sime Darby, Aker Kvaerner, Alstom, Alliance Bank, Malaysia Debt
