Ever since I graduated high school, I have been inspired to teach children. I have developed a
passion for the education profession. I am very interested in educating the youth of today to
brighten their future. I am excited to be able to help children in the classroom and with sports.
I am happy about the opportunity to become a teacher and basketball coach for your district.
Your district has a great reputation for celebrating diversity, achieving academic excellence, and
being one of the highest athletic programs in the state. It will be an honor to be a part of a district
that maintains such high standards in education and sport achievements.
As you can see from my resume, my qualifications include 2 years of coaching and leadership
experience of 11 years. I have a Bachelor degree in Health Education and am obtaining Teaching
Certification in the state of Texas.
In my past coaching position in little league football, I encouraged and taught 4th through 6th
grade football. I have introduced children to their first experience of organized team sports and
assisted in their development of excellent knowledge and skills of the game. I have tutored
college students in College Algebra at which time I provided detailed explanation and helped
improve test scores.
Although I enjoy coaching little league football and tutoring students, I feel it is time to make a
career out of coaching my main sport of basketball and teaching. I am eager to resume helping
students and athletes. I will be grateful to interview for the opportunity to work in a district as
