Business Club

Constitution and Bylaw


ARTICLE I: NAME & PURPOSE
Section A: Name- The name of this club will be Business Club.
Section B: Purpose- The purposes of this club will include:
1. To create a real simulation of a business organization for members to work and
experience as well as to learn hand-in services, cooperation, and administrative
skills.
2. The Clubs Boba Bar aims to provide the highest quality possible refreshment
drink for the Stevenson student body, faculties, and visitors, a product in which is
delicious, safe, healthy, affordable, and served for the better purpose of the
community. (See Section H: Finance & Allocation of Revenues)
3. The Business Club shall be constantly and relentlessly seeking to improve and
upgrade the product as well as the system and organization in which the Boba
Bar is being conducted by.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP & DUES
Section A: Eligibility1. Each and every Business Club member voluntarily joins and commits him/herself
to the organization and hereby is adhered to this set of rules and regulations in
which Business Club will be running by.
Section B: Membership1. Each and every Business Club member to be fully admitted must be first
interviewed and approved to join by the leaders of the club. He or she must also
have read this constitution, understood, and agreed to follow what is written in this
constitution/bylaw.
2. Membership may be revoked by the leaders of by the member him/herself, due to
various reasons ranging from commitment level to honesty. Membership removal
by leader must be discussed and agreed upon by all leaders of the club; the
member being removed has the right to conceal the removal, question the
decision, and/or petition for pardon. Waiving membership is an irreversible
process and readmission may only occur in the next club fair.

ARTICLE III: OFFICERS


Section A: Officers- The officers will be:
1. Leaders of the Business Club are the only members with the access to the Business
Club projects confidential information (i.e. revenue, profits, budget). They altogether
have the decisions to approve new ideas into actions and create new projects and goals
for the Business Club.
Section B: Eligibility- The officers must be
1. Leaders of the Business Club are members of the Business Club who have been
specially appointed to the role by the preceding leaders. They must abide by all rules
and regular duties of being a member of the Business Club, with only certain exceptions
in level of commitment, responsibilities, and expectations noted within this article. They
are expected to be specialized and responsible for specific areas of the Club, hence
should welcome and actively support their fellow Club members. Along with their
assigned tasks and fields, they are to motivate, collaborate, and inspire other members
of the Club to a greater height of satisfaction.
Section C: Term1. The term of officers will begin at the start of the year, and will serve for one year until the
next election
Section D: Election1. Officers will be elected by the preceding leaders during the spring trimester
ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY
Section A- Responsibility: Each officer is responsible for his/her own duties being performed.
Section B: Duties- The duties of each type of leader (also referred as manager) shall be
synopsized below as a part of the Constitution; however, all leaders must see and abide to their
specific Internal Duties:
1. The Sales, Production & Human Resources Manager shall be responsible for the
conduct of the sales of the day in the Business Clubs Boba Bar, arrangement of sale
shifts, and ensure the fluidity in the conduct of any other Business Club projects. He or
she shall also be in charge of allocating jobs and managing the personnel as appropriate
to maximize the Business Club efficiency as well as functionality.
2. The Marketing & Publicity Manager shall be responsible for the appearance and
presentation of the Business Club to the surrounding community including the Stevenson
student body and faculties. He or she should be at least weekly update and ensure that
the presence of the Business Club is well established and maintained within the school
and surrounding community.
3. The Executive & Financial Manager shall be responsible for the management of the
overall club activities and planning of short-term to long-term projects and objectives in

order to refine the system and expand the Business Clubs projects. He or she shall also
be responsible for taking minutes and posting them daily on the Business Club
Conference.
ARTICLE V: MEETINGS
Section A: Meetings- Club meetings shall be held twice a month during activities periods on
Tuesday or Wednesday when there are no other meetings scheduled that are mandatory to
attend.
Section B: Announcement- Club meetings will be announced at least four days prior to the
meeting date so all members will be informed and schedule their time accordingly.
ARTICLE VI: EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Section A: Responsibility- The executive committee will be responsible for the management
and organization of the Business Club.
Section B: Membership- The executive committee consist the officers listed in Article IV (See
Article IV: Officers Duty and Responsibility), including the faculty sponsor of the club.
Section C: Meetings- The committee will meet once a week to organize and schedule events
together.
ARTICLE VII: FACULTY ADVISOR
Section A: Duties- The duties of the Business Club faculty sponsor/advisor will be:
1. Assist the club to reach club goals and objectives
2. Work with the managers in order to schedule Boba Bar sales and school events
3. Assist club treasurer with keeping track of expenses, balance, and incomes of the club
4. Approve/deny all club decisions before decision is being announced
ARTICLE VIII: AMENDMENTS & DECISIONS
Section 1: The Business Club constantly seeks to perfect the system in which it is running by
and is looking forward to positive changes. No members should feel apprehensive to introduce
new ideas and ways in which can help the Club maximize its efficiency or change/add/delete
certain parts of this Constitution. Any of the Business Club members can submit a written
amendment in the form of a Word Document.
A. The main submitter is the person responsible for writing and accumulating support for
this proposal of amendment or decision. He or she may also receive help from cosubmitters. All the names of submitter(s) must be displayed on the written proposal
being submitted.
B. Within the proposal, the submitter(s) must include and clarify the reason for the
amendment, the significance in which the amendment will give the Business Club,

and the degree of gravity in which the amendment must be approved.


C. There are no rules against how this written amendment is presented; however, for the
convenience of fellow Club members reading this document, the submitter(s) should
consider the fluidity, display, and overall coherence of the amendment.
Section 2: The proposal must first be presented to all Club members by the main submitter and
get an approval of majority. Members are to vote in favor. The voting process takes place in
two houses, first house all members and second house leaders. The proposal shall pass with
approvals from both houses.
Section 3: During the leaders voting procedure, if the number of in favor leader votes is
equivalent to that of against leader votes, the proposal shall be postponed for further
consideration and discussion. The leaders revote process must take place in a minimum of a
week after the first vote, and can be delayed by a maximum of four weeks. If the number of in
favor leader votes is again equivalent to that of against leader votes, the proposal shall be
decided by the majority votes of the rest of the Business Club members.
Section 4: The proposal once passed shall be celebrated and put into immediate conduct by
the Club. The main submitter shall work alongside with the leaders to ensure the decision or
amendment complete integration into the system.
Section 5: All failed amendments and decisions are welcome to be revised and offered advice,
suggestions, and help from the leaders, in order to be resubmitted for considerations and
repeated voting process.
