products. After YORKs acquisition by Johnson Control in 2005, Al
Salem Group of Companies and Johnson Control merged together
to become one of the leading multi-industrial companies in the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to offer Building Efficiency products
and services through an array of smart, integrated solutions;
including cooling and heating systems, commercial and industrial
refrigeration, building management systems, & security and fire
safety systems.

either be used directly via combustion to produce
heat, or indirectly after converting it to various forms
of biofuel by thermal, chemical, or biochemical
methods.

Biomass energy can be harnessed through:
Biomass Boilers - In a typical installation, biomass
byproducts are burned or raised to very high
temperatures to release the chemical energy as heat.
The heat is used to boil water in biomass boilers,
creating steam. The steam is then used to turn

turbines and generators to produce electricity.
Biomass Gasification - When biomass is heated
with little or no oxygen it gasifies to a mixture of
carbon monoxide and hydrogen known as synthesis
gas. Like natural gas, synthesis gas can be used as a
low BTU fossil fuel replacement in applications such
as steam or electric generation. Gasification systems
typically produce lower emissions and thus need less
pollution control equipment.
Digester Gas to Energy
The most popular digester gas technology converts
wastewater or sewage treatment gas to electricity,
employing internalcombustion engines that run a
generator to produce the electricity. This electricity
is used to power internal operations, while the
excess is sold back to the grid or utilized elsewhere.
Heat generated by the engines can be recovered
and is used to heat digesters and plant facilities.

Air handling units are manufactured in our production
facility in Jeddah, KSA. Our manufacturing facilities

CE.
YORK unique AHUs construction differentiates our

Surgical Ceilings and Air Handling Units, ensure purity
of air in surgical rooms and operation theatres. The
surgical ceiling maintains a higher class of aseptic
nucleus of particulate cleanliness class conforming
to ISO 5 around the patient during an operation. This
minimizes the risk of patients catching infections
during operations. The added benefit is that the
increased purity during the operation also invariably
reduces the time required for sanitizing the operation
theaters between operations.
Fan Coil Units

system, where the entire floor space becomes a
pressurized plenum.
YORK Air Handling Unit (AHU)
The system features our FlexSys terminal boxes,

which can be installed anywhere within the raised
floor grid. The floor boxes are flexible & easy to
move, so that when the office layout changes, the
floor boxes can be easily relocated to suit the new
layout.
The FlexSys system also provides the occupant
with improved comfort and air quality as the clean
conditioned air is delivered directly into the breathing
zone, and not blown down from overhead, as with
