EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Now-a-days banking industry is very competitive. To be successful in this competitive and


dynamic banking industry a bank need provide its customer efficient and superior banking
service. Everyday new innovations are coming in this industry and pioneers of innovations are
making difference. To cope up with this dynamic situation banks need to attract and retain
talented employees. Here the functions of Human Resource Management comes. In this industry
every organization has a Human Resource Division who are continuously working for attracting
and retaining required employees. Among the functions of HRD the most important function is
Recruitment and Selection of appropriate employees. Because talent is inherent, a dull headed
person can be trained to perform outstanding. Outstanding performance produce when talent,
training and willingness comes together.
This report is focused on Recruitment and Selection policy and practice of Southeast Bank
Limited. In this I tried to cover the criteria and qualification an applicant need to fulfill to be
selected as an employee. Here I covered weightage of different aspects in selection process,
manpower planning process, source of candidates of Southeast Bank Limited. Lastly I tried to
find out lacking in SEBLs Recruitment and Selection process and give some recommendation to
alleviate the lacking. This report also covered the way of effective Recruitment and Selection
process.
