Job Summary and Mission


This job contributes to Starbucks success by developing and
implementing a revenue growth strategy (with a strong emphasis
on product pricing and promotions) to drive Starbucks category
growth in support of the overall Starbucks strategic direction. The
primary role and responsibility would be doing global strategic
pricing & execution for everything sold in our retail stores. This
entails exciting day to day work such as deep customer and
competitive analysis, relationship management, testing &
measuring, gaining business alignment etc. If you are a driver

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not


limited to the following:
Leads identification and evaluation of primary drivers of global
pricing strategy: customer willingness to pay, competitor
benchmarking, market segmentation, macro-economic
influences, and company economics
Proactively leads analyses and financial modeling to understand

impact and effectiveness of pricing actions, including customer


elasticity and pro forma profit impact
Develops and maintains market segmentation models,
incorporating variables such as cost of living and market share
Applies basic statistical concepts to understand and describe
relationships in data
Creates presentations that concisely present data, anticipate
leadership questions and clearly articulate key insights and
recommendations

Qualification

Summary of Experience
Data analysis and modeling (2 years)
Strategic planning and management consulting (2 years)
Developing and delivering presentations to executive level
audiences (1 year)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical ability, strategic thinking and problem solving
skills
Strong financial and statistical understanding
Strong attention to detail
Ability to simplify and structure complex or ambiguous problems
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of statistical modeling (DOE, A/B testing,
regression, cluster analysis, forecasting, etc.)
