1. Skills and Knowledge :


Educational Qualification
BE - Chemistry or Mechanical/ or any discipline. MBA is
added advantage.
Previous Experience
17 to 21 years, out of which 4 - 6 years shall be in
capacity as Head of dept./ taking care of Operational
Excellence activities.
Industry to be hired from
Pharmaceuticals/ Agrochemicals/ Consultancy Services
Skills and Knowledge
Ability to executive Operational Excellence initiatives

across the organisation
Ability to plan, execute and ensure OE targets are
rolled out in the organisation as per management
expectations
Ability to train people on Operation Excellence across
levels from Junior to Senior Level
Ability to present the findings in a clear and concise
manner to top management
Ability to understand technical issues related to
chemical
plant

provide
productivity
enhancement solutions.
Good
command
over
productivity/Process
improvement tools and execute the same in OE
activities
Good command on tools like 5S, TPM, WCM, Fish
Bone analysis, PERT, etc
Knowledge of Six Sigma, TQM, Minitab, SPC tools
desirable.

2. Position Summary:
The Position is overall responsible to plan, execute and perform Operation Excellence
related activities while meeting all organizational requirements within budgeted costs
and time. Drive the organization to achieve standard of excellence by implementing
various Operational Excellence activities and conducting various assessments.

3 .Key Accountabilities:

Ensure that all AMTs achieve L-standard of


excellence and their regular monitoring
Ensure maintaining dashboard of all the activities
pertaining to AMT and DMTs to bring the desired
result. Provide support to Mentors, DMT leaders,
AMT leaders in on OE matters.
Ensure KPOVs are taken in right spirit and their
effective monitoring across all depts.
Present meaningful insight based on the analysis
of the data received from various sources
Ensure SCOM, AM Pillar and other meeting are
held on regular basis.
Enable all AMTs achieve compliance with 1S, 2S,
3S, 4S and 5S standards
Monthly & Quarterly Review of the various
parameters to ensure adherence to process
improvement plans w.r.t. to OE activities
Provide support to the OE team in co-ordinating
SCOM, conducting assessments and any such
activity where input is required

5.Key Accountabilities: Indicate key deliverables and result areas for


this position:
Strategic :

Build Operational Excellence systems /


procedures and implementation of the same in
DMTs and AMTs.
Identify areas of obstruction / breakdowns in the
given OE plan to plants and rectify the issues by
implementing trouble shooting tools, SPC tools
etc.
Ensure SCOM meetings and other apex
committee meetings are held in time.
Ensure Focussed Improvement Teams are
constituted as per need and their success is
monitored on regular basis.

Operational :
Develop, design and implementation of various
system in the organisation for Operational
Excellence based on international practices and
standards.
o Plan and implementation of activities pertaining
to:
Autonomous Maintenance Teams and Daily Management Teams
Constitute Focussed Improvement Teams and monitor their performance
Assess the process being followed in all DMTs and AMTs
Effective planning and ensure predictive & preventive maintenance schedules
for critical equipments to increase machine uptime & equipment reliability.
Develop alternate approach for improvements in productivity parameters in
plant i.e. why-why analysis, SPL, Abnormalities studies, KPOV study etc. for
improving operation efficiency.
