illustrations as far as possible.

their assignments, but are not allowed to copy the matter as it is from the source of
reference.

1. According to Paretos principle it is said that then 80 % of your work if planned


properly would be done in 20% time and planning is required at each level of
management as it helps them (management) in making the right decisions and
achieving maximum productivity with minimum resources. Explain the same with
respect to manpower planning in any organisation.

2. Bright Illumination Ltd. is a FMCG company. Off late it is being observed that
employee absenteeism and turnover is constantly increasing. The management also
observed that the workers are dissatisfied which is affecting the overall
organisational productivity. Their VP HR, Arhan points out the low quality of work
life being the sole reason of it. Discuss the components of the quality of work life

3. GC pal is a jewelry business house, they opened their first shop in 1975 and since
then they have grown manifolds. Rajat Pal is the new heir of the business who is an
MBA from a renowned business school. After joining the family business he noticed
that there was no formal performance appraisal system. The management comprises
of people from old school of thought who do not believe in appraisals. Rajat asked
his HR manager to come up with available appraisal policies and system Explain:

a. The benefits of performance appraisal system to the management (5 Marks)

b. Any two appraisal method which would be applicable to GC Pal jewelry house.
