Abstract: The recent increment of health problems happening within the society pushes us as
medical practitioners in giving our best in serving in society within every aspect. One of which, is that
we should improve the peoples health degree, especially the ones in our own neighborhood. This is
caused by the lack of health services within the society, whether its the practitioners proficiency and
the fair distribution of health resources. The low quality of health services makes the level of public

awareness and education on health to be low, resulting in poor level of public health. This literature

review is expected to serve as a literature that can educate the public about its health status, ranging
from the concept of health-and-sickness, factors that affect health, relationship within factors, disease
prevention and rehabilitating of the ill, as well as health promotion. Sure enough, this will improve the
publics level of education and awareness of health, improving the health degree within the society. So
we can say that optimum health services will be able to maximize the health degree within the area.

PENDAHULUAN

Muntah dan berak (muntaber) adalah suatu penyakit, dimana penderita mengalami diare yang cukup
parah disertai muntah-muntah, sehingga dalam beberapa jam, penderita dapat mengalami dehidrasi.1
Kondisi ini cukup sering ditemukan dalam masyarakat, terutama pada mereka yang berasal dari
golongan ekonomi rendah, dan sanitasi yang kurang. Terdapat beberapa penyebab penyakit muntaber
bisa muncul dalam masyarakat,
