Introduction: Candidate Review

Recruiting provides hiring managers and recruiters online, centralized access


to job requisition and recruiting processes to quickly and effectively recruit the
right talent.

Getting Started

To view a list of candidates that have applied to the job posting and their
applications, click the job requisitions Candidates (#) link. The (#) identifies
the number of active candidate applications for the position.

Candidate Application

Click a candidates name link to view the candidates application containing


the candidates contact information, supporting documentation, and responses
to pre-screening questions. The candidate application form is used to manage
and track the candidates progress through the job requisition process.

Status

Status identifies where the candidates application is in the application


process. Hiring managers and recruiters are responsible for reviewing
candidates applications forwarded for consideration.

Source

Source identifies how the candidates application was submitted.

Job Postings

Click the Job Postings(#) link to view where the job requisition has been
posted, both internally and externally. The (#) identifies the number of postings.

Candidate Search

Click the Candidate Search link to search internal and/or external candidates
resumes, background information, and tags to find qualified candidates for the
position.

Spotlight: Action Menu


Click a candidates check box and use the
drop-down menu on the
Talent Pipeline to select the next step for the candidates application. Actions
include:





Advance Candidate
Disqualify Candidate
Move Candidate
Email Candidate
Add Comment
Add To Requisition

Invite Late Stage Applicant


Invite to Apply
Print or Save
Forward To Colleague
View Resume

NOTE: Available actions are dependent upon the permissions and defined
recruiting process.

Use the Status drop-down menu on the


candidates application to select the next step
for the candidate. Steps include:
New Application
Short List
Interview
Offer
Hired
Rejected
If the candidate is rejected, select a reason
from the Rejected Reason drop-down menu.
NOTE: Status steps may be customized using
Admin.

Review Candidates Applications

When candidates apply to a position, their applications are listed in the Job Requisitions tab of
the Recruiting module. To view candidates and their applications, click the Job Requisitions tab.
Mouse over a Job Title and click Candidate Summary on the Candidate Action menu or click the
Candidates(#) link on the job requisition table. A new window opens:

Candidate Interactions

Comments are entered by evaluation


participants to document details outside of
the screening process that are relevant to
the hiring manager or recruiter. Click Add to
add a comment. NOTE: Comments cannot
be deleted after they are added.
During the Interview step, use the
Interviewers section to add interviewers.
Click Set up Interviewers to enter names
of interviewers and their interview dates.

1 Click a candidates name link to view the candidates application.


2 Click links to view the candidates cover letter, resume, and profile.
3 Use the Status drop-down menu to select the next step for the candidate. You can also drag
and drop the candidate to the status bar above.
4 Track comments, jobs applied, correspondence, offer letter, application status audit trail, and
tags.
5 Click Save to save changes to the application.
6 Click

Cancel to cancel changes made to the application since the last save.

7 Click

Print Preview to set up the application for printing.

8 Click Email to correspond with the candidate via email.

Set up Interviewers

When Set up Interviewers is clicked, a new


window opens:
Click the Add link.
Enter the interviewers name.
Enter the interview date.
Click check boxes to select attachments to
include in the notification email.
Click

Click
to send message to
interviewers.

9 Click Create Meeting to organize an interview with the candidate. The Interviewers section
lists the candidates interviewers and time of the interviews.
10 Use Forward drop-down menu to send candidates application to another job or colleague.
