1. why does am not willing to work with current Project.

-At first, the only thing I disliked about my job was that I am forced to do tim
e tracking and monotonus jobs.
I call someone to cover my desk for me.
- I feel more guilty than I should when I have to ask for someone to cover my de
sk, because I m interrupting their work.
- I m realizing that, despite my stellar performance review, I am not receiving th
e respect and high regard I feel I deserve.
-There are some people who treat me like nothing more than a Project cooridinato
r and in effect signal that they feel superior to me.
-I ve spoken to my manager every time someone internal treats me this way, and she s
made efforts to curb their behaviour.
Maybe I need to develop a thick skin to better cope with abrasive personalities,
but I m now beginning to realize that I could be doing much more with my life.
-people are highly dissatisfied when their job has no meaning or purpose to them
, provides little opportunity to learn, or leaves them depleted at the end of th
e work day.
Many PMs unintentionally reinforce this view by trying to get everyone to pay at
tention to the work they do produce:
the meta work of spreadsheets, specifications, presentations and status reports,
failing to realize that to most in any organization, these are the least intere
sting and most bureaucratic things produced in the building.
This mismatch of value sends the PM and his/her team into a downward spiral: the
PM asking for more and more respect in ways guaranteed to push people further a
way.
