Make sure that you have read Chapters 1, 2 and 3, and that you understand all
terminology, particularly those that are in bold. For review purposes, read
summary for each chapter; practice with the Self-Tests and try those that
havent done (answers are in the back of the book); and go through your
assignments and quizzes, correcting your errors in the process.

V. Meter

Durational equations.
Provide the most appropriate meter.
Identify meter type and beat duration of a time signature.
Completing a measure with rests.

VI. Triads & 7th chordsIdentify the triad or seventh chord and provide its lead sheet
symbol.
Notate the triad or seventh chord as indicated by the LSS.
Note: Exam also includes BPS and inversions for LSS.
