safety, and comfort needs of critically ill patients in the hospital setting. Administer
medications, assist with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and
provide patient education on a variety of health topics.

Help facilitate the comfort and safety on patients on a secured mental health unit.
Assist patients with self-care needs, and lead therapeutic groups focused on coping
skills and other aspects of mental and social well-being. Evaluate and document
safety status for each individual patient every fifteen minutes. Assist nursing staff
in the management and resolution of escalating patient behaviors.
Gayton Terrace (Richmond, VA):
Provided medical services to uninsured clients. Interpreted clinical visits for Spanishspeaking patients, trained and supervised volunteers, and connected patients to
external resources for free or low-cost imaging studies, specialist visits, and
medications. Managed a high volume of calls.
