INTRODUCTION
On the job training is where a college student trains at the place of
work while he or she is doing the actual job. Usually a professional trainer or
sometimes an experienced employee serves as the course instructor using
hands-on
training
often
supported
by
classroom
training.
Classroom
experiences is a good way to learn basics and theory. On the job training is
the only way to find out what works for you in the real world. On the job
training is a part of the college curriculum that aims to train and orient
students about the work and their future career. OJT is important not only to
teach students on their chosen career but to show students the reality about
working.
The main objective of on-the-job training is to acquaint the students
formally to a real life workplace environment. This will help to explore the
relationship between the knowledge and skills acquired in college with those
required on the working situations. On the job training gives you some hands
on experiences while you are learning the job as well as getting some pay for
learning the job. It can help you to get promotions or learn a task under
guidance of people who do this every day and know the best way to do it.
