HIGH PASS FILTER

THEORY:
A frequency selective circuit that passes electric signals of
specified band of frequencies and attenuates the signals of frequencies
outside the band is called an filter. The active filters use op-amp as the
active element the active filters by enclosing a capacitor in the feedback
loop avoid inductors. They have the advantage that they can provide
gain.
DESIGN PROCEDURE:

i)

For LPF & HPF FL = FH =1KHZ

Let C2 = C3 = 0.01f.

ii)

Since the pass band gain is 1.586,

Rf =0.586 R1 must be

equal.

iii)

Therefore select R1 100K. Assume R1=27 K

Then Rf = = 15.8K .(20 Kpot)..

PROCEDURE:
1. Connect the circuit as shown.
2. Adjust the input amplitude to 2V (p-p).
3. Dual

4. Note down the output voltage for different frequencies.
