Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time

A Prayer for Fathers

God our Father,
We give you thanks and praise for fathers, young and
old.
We pray for young fathers, newly embracing their
vocation; may they find the courage and
perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy
and sacrifice.
We pray for our own fathers who have supported and
challenged us; may they continue to lead in strong
and gentle ways.
We remember fathers around the world whose
children are lost or suffering; may they know that the
God of compassion walks with them in their sorrow.
We pray for men who are not fathers but still mentor
and guide us with fatherly love and advice.
Fathers Day Novena
A special Novena of Masses to honor all fathers, living
and deceased, begins on Fathers Day, June 20th. If
you would like to have a special father remembered
during these Masses, you will find enrollment cards in
the vestibule of the church. Please drop them off at the
Rectory or through the collection basket. The
enrollment envelopes will be placed on the altar during
the nine consecutive Masses.

Food Stamp Pre-Screening DayFood stamps are a
great way to access more food for your family. On
Wednesday, June 23rd, at 10:00 a.m. a representative
from the Food Bank will be at the Serra Mesa Food
Pantry, Mission Village Christian Fellowship, 2650
Melbourne Drive, to do the screening for the program.
Monthly Schedule
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: Held the 2nd
Saturday of each month in the Daily Chapel from 8:45
am - 3:30 pm.
ANCIENT ORDER OF HIBERNIANS: Every 2nd Wednesday
of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Music Room.
BABYSITTING: Every Sunday during the 9:30 a.m. Mass
in the Preschool for infants and children up to four years

BIBLE SHARING (Sunday By Sunday): Monday mornings,
9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Ministry Center.
BINGO: Every Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at
4:00 p.m. Babysitting is available.

morning after the 7:30 & 9:30 a.m. Masses.
DIVINE MERCY DEVOTION: Join us Mondays and Fridays
at 3:00 p.m. in the Daily Chapel for a Divine Mercy
Devotion (chaplet, rosary and a reading from the diary of

GRIEF & BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP: The 1st Monday

R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults): For adults
seeking Baptism or for baptized adults seeking full
membership in the Catholic Church by preparing to
receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
