joyous, empowered, connected, truly successful
life. True success means you feel connected and
greatful for your life which in turn attracts more
connection, contentment and power in your life, both
with yourself and with all the amazing others around

benefits of yoga, a good diet and meditation today

I want to share that I know what its like to face
overwhelming and extreme life-challenging situations.
I have been divorced, been a single mother, lost a
business, had the love of my life leave, but the most
intense was with my beloved daughter on her journey
to and through the portals of what we call death. But
I now know it was healing. Trust me, I know grief,
heartbreak, disappointment and betrayals. What I
am sharing with you are the practices that have seen
me through and beyond all these challenges. This is
the Wisdom I gleaned and I deeply appreciate being
able to share these tools with you. I want you to have
the tools that kept me from chronic depression, from
hopelessness, from the depths of despair.
I am greatful to share that I am now blessed with a
deeply divine relationship, my daughter is an amazing
presence and guide in my life, and I was blessed
with the most amazing friends and relationships that
supported me and whom I allowed this support. From
all the challenges in my life I have learned what truly
supported me and have distilled these things into the
7 Pillars of Life.
It is my desire and delight to share these gifts with
as many people as possible on this beautiful planet
including you so you have the tools that gave me the
freedom and awareness in my life. You know that
doing the same thing over and over and expecting a
different effect is a description of insanity, right? But
doing something over and over also creates a habit.

The 7 Pillars are really 6 Pillars and 1


Foundation. The Foundation is the desire, for
no change happens in your life without deep
desire.
The first and most important aspect of any shift
or awakening is your desire. There is an ancient
yogic principle that says, Deserve then Desire.
You can desire the world and far beyond, but if you
feel undeserving then it is like squeezing juice from
a rock. Your undeservingness will banish all the
aspects you desire from appearing in your life.

You need a desire to make any shift in your life.


Without desire, there is no impetus, no passion, no
motivator for action. Since Deserve comes first as the
lynch pin of desire, lets look at how deserving you
feel.

awakened or a more connected life on a scale of
1-10, where would you be? Not where you think you
should be but just where are you right now?

Lets look at unearthing this deserve and desire
relationship. They can serve each other or they
can be very far out of balance. By looking at your
deservingness levels in several aspects of your life,
if you were truthful, it gives you a picture of where
you feel deserving and where you are lacking in
deservingness.
This is not necessarily fun information but it is
very pertinent information. It shows you where you
have trust in yourself, your past, your future, your
capacity to be supported and where you have not
had that experience. This is information and it can
be both emotional and give you a good chance to
be in a neutral observer space. Go back and see if

you can reread each question and answer from this


neutral place. Breathe into the places that lacked
deservingness and become a seer of your own worth
that exists beyond the first judgment.
1. Take Question #1 and do a sipping breath in
through your mouth and exhale through your nose.
Do this for 2 minutes then be with your answer
after doing this simple exercise. Write how you feel
about it now.

2. Take Question #2 and look at this answer without
doing a breath and see if your mind feels neutral.
Write your internal response below.

3. Please try this breath and apply this to your #3
answer. Inhale in 4 parts through your nose and
exhale in 4 parts through your nose for 2 minutes.
Then read the question and your response and
write how you experience the answer.

4. For Question #4, please use the breath that felt
most effective in terms of allowing your neutral
mind to come forth and be with your answer,
not judging but just being, and apply that to your
response on Question #4. Write your insights.

The other half of the platform of the Pillars of


Life is Discipline.
Discipline is the missing link for most people in
creating a new habit, a new life, a fulfilled dream, or
birthing of a creative passion. String one day into
another to make a series of 40 consecutive days and
allow a new habit to be more powerful than your old
pattern.
Discipline has gotten a bad rap. It is looked down
upon as a drudgery, yet look at anyone who is
successful in anything and you will see tremendous
discipline. Pick a success group you feel most
connected to and see if there is anyone who has no
discipline. The overnight success will tell you that it
only looked like it happened overnight. Discipline is
truly the desire to show up again and again because
beyond what may seem boring is hiding elation at

the success of getting something. So I am going to


encourage you to make friends, not best friends, with
discipline. Add this into your foundation of desire.

The 6 Pillars of your life are:


1. How you go to sleep
2. How you wake up
3. How you eat and what you eat
4. Meditation
5. Exercise
6. Breath
Look at this list and see which one of these aspects
you feel most connected to and why. Then answer
the questions in as much detail as you feel called to.
Remember this is to reveal the 6 Pillars of Life and
how consciously or unconsciously you live in each
aspect. No judgement, just revelation. These 6 Pillars
+ Desire make up the foundation of your life or make
the 7 Divine Transformers. In changing aspects of
your foundational patterns, you can create wonderful
and big shifts in your life.

2 How you go to sleep


How do you go to sleep? Not sleep itself but how
you prepare yourself for sleep. Please write out an
actual sketch of what you do before you go to bed
most nights. Do you watch TV, movies, drop over
exhausted? Think it amazing if you take time to
shower, brush and floss teeth, do a meditation, get
clear?
How do you get ready to embrace sleep and
clear your day before you enter the impermanent
surrendered state called sleep?

3 How you wake up


How do you wake up? What do you do? Not what
you want to do but what do you currently do to start
your day? Do you hit the snooze button or get up
early to have time to meditate and exercise, or both?
Do you drag yourself out of bed exhausted or do you
greet the day with joy? Do you crawl for the coffee or
go around your home chanting and praying? Please
make a list from the moment you awaken (love that
word) till you leave the house. Just make the listno
judgments, just be with it. Reread it please, breathing
into it.

There is no right or wrong answer. Just write your
current relationship with waking up. Then go back
and look at the ONE thing you would most like to
change. You dont have to know what kind of change
you want, only what you know is not effective and
write that down please.

4 Exercise
What is your relationship with exercise? Do you love
it? Do you avoid it? Just answer these few questions
and track where you are right now with your desire
and your action inspired by your desire.

5 How you eat what


you eat

Eating and food are one of the most highly charged


topics in our hemisphere. We want the freedom to
eat what we want, not taking into consideration that
we are highly suggestible from the advertising around
us and the people in our lives, and so much more.
This is not a lecture on food but just a check which
is a must before you can embrace any new habit,
especially in the dynamic food/eating category. I am
asking for you to do this simple breath first.

Make an O out of your mouth and stick a rolled


tongue through that O. If you cant roll your tongue,
practice until you get it. Stick the tongue out and
let the lips squeeze and help curl it. Inhale through
the rolled or semi-rolled tongue and exhale through
the nose. Do this for 90 seconds before writing your
answers.

6 Meditation
This not about whether you should meditate, or if you
meditate at all, but that meditation is such a wonderful
platform of both change and solace that I truly want
to help make this a reality for you in your already
crowded life. Meditation is not something hard or
scary. It is a way to slow down and reconnect with
the essence of you so you can live from a more calm,
clear, connected state, and you can know your true

gift and be able to bring them forth in your life. You


must know how to get quiet to hear what is coming to
and through you.

7 Your Breath
Breath is an automatic response which you should
all be greatful for, or 90% of you would be dead.
Start making breathing a conscious part of your
life. Understand that there are so many kinds of
breath and they can be used for all situations
and occasions. I will share more of this with you
in my transformational programs. See if you can
be conscious of your breath as you answer these
questions. Notice the ones that make you want to
stop breathing.

These are the 6 Pillars of your life. They are things
we do each day in the case of Eating, Sleeping,
Waking up, and Breathing. The Meditation and
Exercise seem optional. But for an optimal life they
are not optional. If you want to change something
in your life, the fastest way to make a change is to
change one of these aspects. Finding your kingpin-the one deep desire that effects every aspect of your
life, will show you how that will effect each of these
six aspects of your life. You can use each of these six
aspects of your life to give you the keys to shift your
life and align with what you want as opposed to what
is.

If you truly desire something and you state it loud and


clear, then the rest of your motion and emotions need
to line up under that desire. If what you are saying is
not a strong enough desire or you are in too much
fear to change, or you are too comfortable where
you are, then your life will not align with your desire.
Because to be successful, what you say and what
you do need to be in congruency with each other. If
you say one thing and do another, it means there is a
big misalignment. Its what I call stacking up against
yourself. You say, I want A. Then you do everything
to make B happen. The universe sees that you want
B and it wants to help you have B. I want to help you
have A.
Right here and right now, please take a moment and
write down what your deepest desire is right now.

I have so much I want to share with you, so much that
it is not even remotely possible to do justice in this
support tool. But before I leave I want to share that
there are traits underlining these pillars7 traits that
serve your 6 Pillars of Life. I want you to look at how
these are serving or dis-serving your life. They are:

Deserve/Desire/Discipline
Integrity/Innocence
Simplicity/Sustainibility

I want you to look through these in your life and see


if they are aspects that are sustaining you or not.
Which ones are you comfortable with? Which ones
do you feel connected to? Which ones do you feel
disconnected from or not clear about what they mean
and how they pertain to your life?

Before we dive into this exercise, I want to
acknowledge that I am giving you an outline of a
vast system so you can take personal inventory. But
I understand that to make vast changes, you need
more support to take your Blessed gift of a life to a
level of radiantly connected, invincible you. I want to
help you achieve that.
We have looked briefly into Deserve/Desire/
Discipline. The next duo is Integrity/ Innocence. This
pair is interesting. Everyone thinks they know what
integrity means. It is a deep dive and everyone does
not hold the same standard of integrity. There is no
one standard of integrity, nor a country, nation, nor
religion that holds the standard. Nor do you hold the
total truth of what that is for everyone but you do hold
it for you. Every culture has different standards for
integrity as a culture, then there is personal integrity,
then the soul standard. There is a very simple
universal truth of what integrity truly means. It means
living from your essence out. It means that you live
on the pillars of kindness and compassion to yourself

and others. Oh this is so easy to say. When you are


sleep-deprived, anxious, have an overtaxed nervous
system or undue stressors in your life, kindness and
compassion to self and others fly out the window. I
can help you have a different realitya reality where
you know what to do when you are stressed in any
area to get yourself back to connected and calm.

Will you come with me for just a minute and
contemplate what integrity means to you? Then
please write words, or sentences, or a letter to
yourself. Let it flow.

Then ask your deepest self what innocence means to
you. My teacher said, Lose anything but dont lose
your innocence. I saw this wonderful post on FB the
other day about not pushing your child to achieve
but to help them embrace the small amazing things

such as a loving embrace, a luscious piece of fruit,


a twirl, a ball thrown or caught. As adults we need
to embrace the small things that can slow us down
so we can truly embrace the exquisiteness of this
moment, even if this moment seems really bleak.
Wrap yourself around it and see what gifts it gives
you.

The last two are Simplicity/Sustainability. We touched


on simplicity for it is best friends with innocence.
Truth is truly simple but we do our best to complicate
it. Truth and the Essence of all cant be explained
in words, not because it is complicated but because
it is so profoundly vast yet simple. When we speak
of it, it either sounds too simple, or in trying to shine
light on the vastness, we complicate it. Try for one
day to speak with great simplicity. My son is a man

of few words. He sees much and says little. When


he says something, it is so simple and he lets you
know he saw and followed it all. My grandson is much
the same. One time they were visiting a cave and
his mom told the guide she wanted to see bats but
they never got to see bats. At the end of the tour, the
guide asked what each persons favorite part of the
tour was. Gobind, my grandson, said, Bats. The
guide just had his concerns that Gobind was a special
needs child confirmed, but the truth was, Gobind
was saying, My mom asked for bats and you didnt
deliver the bats. He didnt need to say all that. He
just needed to say Bats.
See where you are over-complicating your life. Write
