same wave length as the proton. Calculate the value of V2.

maximum kinetic energy with which the electron leaves the surface. What is the longest wavelength which
can produce the photo electrons? (Given h = 6.626 1034 Js; e = 1.6 1019 C).
22. In the Bohr model of hydrogen atom, what is the de Broglie wavelength for the electron when it is in the
(i) n = 1 level and (ii) n = 4 level. In each case, compare the de Broglie wave length to the circumference
of the orbit.
23. How fast would a rocket have to go relative to an observer for its length to be corrected to 99% of its
length at rest?
24. Ultra violet light of wave length 2271 from a source irradiates a photo-cell which is made of
molybdenum metal. If the stopping potential is 1.3 volt, calculate the work function of the metal. How
would the photo cell respond to a high intensity (10 5 Wm2) red light of wavelength 6328 produced by
He Ne Laser?
