Adopt-A-Peer Lesson 1
Objectives
Student will play the Concert Bb scale with correct pitch accuracy.
Student will play the Concert Bb arpeggio with correct pitch accuracy.
Student will play the Concert Eb scale with correct pitch accuracy.
Student will play the Concert Eb arpeggio with correct pitch accuracy.
Procedures
Teacher will play a Bb pitch on the piano.
Student will hum the pitch, and then buzz it on the mouthpiece.
Repeat above procedures for remainder of the scale.
Teacher will review the slide positions for each note.
Student will play the Bb scale in quarter notes once with the teacher, and once by herself.
Teacher will review the slide positions for each note in the Bb arpeggio.
Student will play the Bb arpeggio once with the teacher, and once by herself.
Teacher will play an Eb pitch on the piano.
Student will hum the pitch, and then buzz it in the mouthpiece.

Teacher will assess students ability to match pitch as student and teacher play the scales and
arpeggios together.
Teacher will assess the students individual pitch accuracy as she plays the scales and
arpeggios by herself.
