An opinion about pollution

Pollution occurs when something contaminate the natural surroundings; which brings
about changes that affect our normal lifestyles adversely. The definitions of pollution is
"the action or process of making land, water, air, etc., dirty and not safe or suitable to
use". (Merriam Webster, 2016) There are different types of contamination.
The first is the air pollution, it is the most prominent and dangerous form of pollution. It
occurs due to many reasons. Excessive burning of fuel which is a necessity of our daily
lives for cooking, driving and other industrial activities; releases a huge amount of
chemical substances in the air every day; these pollute the air. (Green Living, 2016)
The second is soil pollution, it occurs due to incorporation of unwanted chemicals in the
soil due to human activities. Use of insecticides and pesticides absorbs the nitrogen
compounds from the soil making it unfit for plants to derive nutrition from. Release of
industrial waste, mining and deforestation also exploits the soil. Since plants cant grow
properly, they cant hold the soil and this leads to soil erosion. (Green Living, 2016)
Finally the water pollution, it involves any contaminated water, whether from chemical,
particulate, or bacterial matter that degrades the water's quality and purity. Water
pollution can occur in oceans, rivers, lakes, and underground reservoirs, and as
different water sources flow together, the pollution can spread. (Green Living, 2016)
If we want to stop the pollution, we need to take responsibility and we need to do
something to help the planet. It is in our hands do the change and help to do a better
world.
Nowadays some people thinks that the global warming is a game and that it is not true,
but you have to think and see the news, it really clear, we can see natural disasters like
hurricanes, droughts, tsunamis, earthquakes and thawing of the poles. These disasters
are a consequence of pollution.
Some of possible solutions are reduce the use of cars, avoid chemicals, or that
industries do not throw their waste outdoors.
