Step by step manual for

EMC2
from Avi (avlolga)

Make sure Port is set to 1 for all active axis.
These pin numbers are standard for most CNC software.
Dir LowActive will change the direction

Motor Direction

Config > Homing / Limits

This changes the direction the motor travels.
This is standard for most motor driver boards & motors.
You can also wire the motor backwards.
If this is backwards, then the motor is wired backwards.
You can also CHANGE DIRECTION with MOTOR OUTPUTS by changing Dir Active Low / Hi

This is how mine is setup.

Home Neg affects how the DRO's act.
Whether they go positive or negative as

Ignore Tool Change NO! If you aren't paying attention it will ruin your project.
Say you're supposed to change from .125 to .0300, guess what happens - @$#^*&!!!
Screen Control Will expand your screen & make it full size.
G04 This a drill dwell (pause) If not set to ms, it will take SECONDS instead of Milliseconds.
So G1Z-0.1960F4.0 G4 P500 will be 1/2 second in ms.
IMPORTANT Config> Save Settings

I use 3/8-12 TPI Leadscrew
Z axis 5/16-18

1.8 Motor 200 steps per revolution x 18 turns per inch (5/16"-18 rods) = 3,600 full step or 7,200 1/2 step, etc.

1.8 Motor 200 steps per revolution x 18 turns per inch (5/16"-18 rods) = 3,600 full step or 7,200 1/2 step, etc.
1.8 Motor 200 steps per revolution x 12 turns per inch (3/8"-12 rods) = 2400 full step or 4800 1/2 step, etc.

FULL STEP IS NOT ADVISED

3/8-12 STEP
FULL = 2400
1/2 = 4800
1/4 = 9600
1/8 = 19200

5/16-18 STEP
FULL = 3600
1/2 = 7200
1/4 = 14400
1/8 = 28800

For BIPOLAR
Try Velocity at 36 to start,
increase as desided until stall

For BIPOLAR
Step Pulse = 10uS
This can be dereased as
low as 3 as long as it
doesn't miss steps

Drive Jumper Settings

Setting any axis step / Dir

pulse will set all
