I am currently working as an Assistant Manager Finance of the group. I am directly reporting to the Financial Controller and the
CEO of the group.
The group consists of diversified businesses related to retail, distribution and logistics sector which are:
Furniture retailing of international brands like Ashley Furniture and Caracole Furniture;
Sole distribution of household items of multiple international brands;
Logistics business to provide in-house and commercial transport of goods, nationally and internationally.
Overviews of my general responsibilities associated with my job were as follows:
Overseeing the accounting team for maintaining and monthly closing the books of accounts based on IFRS for all the above
mentioned entities;
Supervising consolidated accounts receivables of the company, and reporting on consolidated sales to management;
Hedging the risk of foreign currency receivables and maintaining the foreign currency bank accounts according to SOPs;
Monitoring all the cash counters of all the showrooms of the company, and supervising the cashiers to ensure daily closing ;
Maintaining the statement of accounts of corporate clients to track and forecast the incoming funds of the group;
Preparation of monthly forecasts and budgets based on the level of operations;
