I. Key Points
Limit temperature rise

Agreement includes a commitment to keep the rise


in global temperatures "well below" 2 C compared
to pre-industrial ;mes, while striving to limit them
even more, to 1.5 degrees.

First universal climate

It's the world's rst comprehensive


climate agreement, with all countries expected to
pitch in

Helping poorer na9ons

Calls on developed na;ons to give $100 billion


annually to developing countries by 2020; to help
poorer countries combat climate change and
foster greener economies.

Publishing greenhouse
gas reduc9on targets

Countries will be tasked with preparing, maintaining and publishing


their own greenhouse gas reduc;on targets with the targets
greater than the current ones and "reect [the] highest possible
ambi;on and each country should strive to drive down their
carbon output "as soon as possible."

Carbon neutral by
2050?

The deal sets the goal of a carbon-neutral world some;me aOer


2050 but before 2100 means commitment to limi;ng the
amount of GHG emiRed by human ac;vity to the levels that trees,
soil and oceans can absorb naturally.

1. Review of RAN GRK will be formalized and used as
base to revise Presidential Decree 61/2011 on RAN
GRK.
2. National Determined Contribution: preparation to be
submitted to UNFCCC.
3. Presidential Decree for ICCTF.
4. Accelerate implementations of quick-win programs to
intensify emission reduction target in 2020:
Renewable energy: biofuel and biomass
Peatland restoration
Forest fire prevention.
