Planning for Learning

Talk about the process of planning for lessons.
How did your MST go about this? How did
you plan to ensure you worked within the
curriculum?
What did you learn about planning during the
practicum?
What challenges did you face when preparing
your lesson plans?
Explain how you planned for teaching
speaking and listening.

My MST collaborated with other KG 2 teach

Implementing and Managing

What strategies did you use to
manage the children?
Which were the most effective
strategies you observed your MST
using in the classroom?
Describe a lesson you taught and the
way in which you implemented the
lesson class work, group work, and
individual work. How successful was
this for you?

The motivation, in the classroom they had aboard I

made for the students to motivate them. While they
were taken a new word in English or Arabic the next
days I asked who they remember the words, so the
students who remember the words, I give them the
sticker. The students who collected more striker, I
brought them a gift.
While the teacher needs to get children attention, she
starts to sing for them. Then the children keep
everything and listen to the teacher or came on the
carpet.
The last lesson I taught the students was successful
for me. Because of the success, it has achieved the
children were helpful and collaborated with me, and I
used several strategies. One of these strategies is
starting to get children attention to focus on me. Then
the children movement which through songs with
days of the week song and sound of a song. Then
getting them sit nicely to start the lesson with
showing them the picture that starts with sound n.
The children understand these sound while they were
doing challenges with the children who are collecting
more sound from the areas, so I can know the

children can recognize the sound. At the activities

time, I give the children chance to choose in which
activity they need to do; that is the great strategies
that show how I made the classroom students center.
Before they go to the activities, I made a transition
which I said for the students know we will have time
for the activities and showed them the activities then
they choose what they need to do, I gave them the
instruction before they go for the activities. While the
children were doing the activities, I walked around
them to see what they did and if they need any help.
While I saw they neared finished the activities, I
started an open cleanup song. The students leave
what in their hands and start to collect everything
and back it to their place. Then the children back on
the carpet and I started asked them a question about
what they did and review with them the word start
with sound n.

the story. One story often repeats for the children
four times a week based on students. I started to
present the story for the children by shows for them
the cover page, the title, the writer, the painter and
the page number. Then I started to read the story
Sentence by sentence and then re-read again. While I
read, I stopped and asked the children questions. I
gave each children time to tells to me the story.
However, the student's speakers gave me the example
in their real life, while they go to the desert what they
saw or they saw that at the TV.
I present flashcard on the smart board. Asking
question to the students. Give to each child chance to
read the story in front of all the students with loud
voice and see how can read the story faster.
Sometimes there are some students like to interrupt
while the teacher read the story for all students to get
attention. There may be students who cannot focus
while the teacher read the story, then they can't

What was the most helpful feedback
you received during the placement?
What challenges did you face when
writing your reflections?
Were you able to make links between
what you did at college and what you
observed or experienced during TP?
Give an example.
What do you think are important
things to study at college to ensure
that you are well prepared for TP?

EPC-2403

Gained many experiences of my practicum which is

how to manage the time of lesson, getting children
control, how to organize the classroom and recycling,
taking ideas from the MST experience and how to
make the activities with the children levels and
educational.
The most helpful feedback I received from the MST is
I have to try to get children more control while I
taught the lesson for the student.
Difficulties that I faced when writing the reflections
thoughts are time constraints and the dispersion of
ideas. I could not manage my time so that I didn't do
at the right time and dispersion of my ideas.
As we take at the college, Jean Piaget theory believes
the child's can learning by dong. And the children
Possible to learn through experience. However, I
applied to see the evidence of what Jean Piaget
theory believes; I have the children the resources,
and give them the instruction, then keep the children
to do the activity so that I can see the children
abilities and how they can develop their skills. So
that child can learn through hearing.
May the MCT prepare a test to assess the students if
they are ready for the practicum?
