From Thanking To Overflowing

November 20- November 26

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron and
his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is
flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go
well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great You are and
how much I love You. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed in my body and
my soul.
In Jesus name, Amen

I forgive because God has forgiven me.

Luke 12:48
I enter Gods presence with a thankful heart, and praise His name.
Psalms 100:4
I give to Gods work and trust Him to receive a blessing in return.
Luke 6:38

God wants us to forgive others the same way He has forgiven us.

Luke 12:48, For everyone to whom much is given, from him much
will be required; and to whom much has been committed of him they
will ask the more.

As Christians, we have all been given a great gift of Gods Son Jesus Christ.
His forgiveness of our sins is the only way for us to be clean and free of
Satans power over us. After receiving Christ as our Savior we must ask
God to bring to our minds every day the things that need to be changed
in our hearts. This is what our memory verse means when it says that
people who have been given lots of something should be willing to give
even more of that same gift away. They should share it freely. Or we
could say that God just wants us to show others the same forgiveness He
has shown to us so they will see His love in us and be drawn to
repentance.
There was a woman named Mary (not the same one who was Jesus
mother, but another Mary). She had lived a sinful life doing things that
broke Gods laws and deserved punishment. She was surprised when she
met Jesus. He treated her with kindness. Because of the way He treated
her she believed she could be forgiven and have a second chance at life.
Jesus was a reminder to her that God had not forgotten about her and
He was not angry at her. He wanted to forgive her and restore her to
the life He had planned for her. Mary was sorry for her sins and repented. She was so happy and thankful to be forgiven that she brought her
most expensive perfume in a beautiful box and washed Jesus feet with it.
The people who saw her do it were mad because they didnt like a sinful
woman giving Jesus a gift like this. They had received gifts of healing and
forgiveness from Jesus but their thankfulness had never overflowed to
others. Jesus liked Marys gift and said that wherever this story is told it
would be a reminder that if anyone would bow down to and recognize
Jesus as Savior, no matter how sinful, their sins would be forgiven.
