TRANSPORT OPERATOR TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RESERVATIONS
All reservations MUST BE PAID within 24 hours of online booking or up to 12 hours prior to
the scheduled date and time of departure, whichever comes first. Failure to confirm payments
within the set timeframe will result to auto-cancellation of reservations. In case of online
booking and payment through iwantseats.com.ph, an email confirmation shall be sent within 48
hours of confirmed payment. If you have not received an email confirmation, the passenger
MUST call IWantSeats to confirm payments made. The email confirmation/voucher shall serve
as proof of payment for the purpose of issuance of passenger ticket at JoyBus counters on the
scheduled date of departure.
Reservation ticket is valid only on the date and time of departure indicated on the ticket.

PASSENGER
Bookings of Senior Citizen / Person With Disability (PWD) passengers through
iwantseats.com.ph shall be charged the full fare indicated, inclusive of the chargeable online
fees. The discount for Senior Citizen / PWD shall be refunded to the passenger in the terminal at
the time of departure/issuance of passenger ticket. The discounts shall be refunded upon
presentation of the valid senior citizen / PWD ID. The discount applies to the bus FARE only.
Infants and Children below three (3) years old may be carried on the lap, free of charge. If a
passenger occupies a seat, regardless of age, the full fare for the seat shall be charged
accordingly. Strictly one (1) child allowed per seat.

CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS
Passengers are required to check-in AT LEAST 30 MINUTES before the scheduled departure
time. Otherwise, passengers will be tagged as LATE. Bookings of LATE passengers may be resold to waitlisted/chance passengers. Once re-sold, late passengers may no longer be allowed to
board even if he/she arrived prior to departure of the bus.
For passengers who booked and paid online, the printed voucher/confirmation ticket must be
presented at the Joy Bus Counter in the place of departure, together with a valid Government
Issued ID, Deposit slip or proof of payment, and Senior Citizen ID/PWD ID, if the discount was
availed, for issuance of passenger ticket. No VOUCHER/CONFIRMATION SLIP and VALID
ID, NO TICKET.

LATE PASSENGERS
Passengers who arrived late but prior to departure of the bus, and whose bookings were re-sold
to waitlisted/chance passengers, may rebook on the next available trip subject to 50% of the
indicated fare as penalty.

NO-SHOW
If a Passenger is a NO-SHOW, the issued ticket/s shall be considered used/sold.
A passenger who arrived at the terminal after the departure his/her scheduled bus shall be
considered as NO-SHOW.

REBOOKING
Rebooking is allowed only if made at least 24 hours before the departure date and time and is
subject to 25% penalty based on the indicated fare. Tickets are considered as used for passengers
who fail to rebook at least 24 hours before the trip or who fail to check-in 30 minutes prior to
time of departure.

In case of rebooking, passengers must call IWantSeats within the allowed rebooking period.
Emails or SMS rebooking requests will not be entertained.
Payment for the rebooking penalties must be paid directly at the Joy Bus counters/offices on the
day of travel.
Passengers are allowed to rebook for travel within a period of three (3) months from date of the
trip indicated on the cancelled ticket and is subject to availability of seats.
Rebooking dates during holidays and peak dates due to events at the intended destination shall be
made at least one (1) week, and is subject to availability of seats.

CANCELLATIONS
CONFIRMED and PAID tickets are NON-Refundable and NON-transferable. Passengers may
however rebook their ticket subject to the conditions set forth above.

LOST, ALTERED OR INVALIDATED TICKETS


LOST ticket shall be considered as used/sold. NO TICKET, NO BOARDING.
Alterations to the ticket without the signature of an authorized representative of Joy Bus shall
render the ticket invalid and shall not be honored.

REFUSAL OF ACCOMMODATION
Joy Bus reserves the rights to refuse accommodation of any passenger who is intoxicated, those
who will refuse security check and/or carrying deadly/pointed objects, guns (unless with a permit
to carry or officer of the law)
Strictly no pets or animals of any kind shall be carried on board. Explosives, flammable or
obnoxious substances/chemicals, are strictly prohibited from being loaded into the bus.
All Joy bus trips are STRICTLY NO SMOKING & NO DRINKING OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES.

BAGGAGE
Each passenger is entitled to two (2) regular sized suitcase/luggage or the equivalent, free of
charge. Any excess baggage shall be subject to fees assessed by the Way Bill Clerks at terminals
of departure. So as not to delay the departure of the bus, passengers with excess baggage must
check-in at least ONE (1) hour prior to the scheduled departure, otherwise, Joy Bus may refuse
carriage of excess. The Bus Operators liability for loss or damage of baggage is limited to
Pesos: Two Hundred Fifty Pesos (Php 250.00) per passenger, unless a higher value is declared
and the corresponding charge is paid at the time of check-in.

The passenger assumes FULL RESPONSIBILITY for all hand carried baggage and personal
belongings.

INSURANCE
The Bus Operator has engaged the services of an insurance company for the passengers
protection. It is therefore necessary that the correct name of the passenger be entered in the
reservation ticket.

CANCELLATION OF TRIP
In case of force majeure, bad weather, flooding and other conditions that may affect the safety of
the passengers, the Bus Operator reserves the right to cancel the trip and/or change the date
and/or time of the trip without prior notice.
