Q1. Suraj has a triangular field whose perimeter is 560 m. If two sides of this triangular field
are 200 m and 23500 cm, find the third side.
Q2. A farmer has a triangular field with measure 500m, 653 m and 458 m. He wants to fence
this field. How much wire will he need?
Q3. Rajus grandfather wants to fence a rectangular field of length 500m and breadth 250 m.
Find the cost, if rate of fencing is Rs. 18 per metre.
Q4. Two squares of side 2 cm are cut out of a rectangle, 10 cm by 5 cm. Find the perimeter of
the remaining figure.
Q5. Tom rides his scooter around a park shaped like an equilateral triangle. Each of the side
is 1 km. If he makes two complete trips around the park, how much distance does he ride?
Q6. The area of a rectangular field is 6300 sq m and its length is 90 m. What is the breadth of
the field?
Q7. A room is 4 m long and 6.50 m wide. How many square metre of carpet is needed to
cover the floor of the room?
Q8. From a rectangular sheet of cardboard, measuring 80 cm by 20 cm. How many squares of
side 4 cm can be made from it?
Q9. Monika went to a park which is 600 m long and 300 m wide. She took 3 complete rounds
around its boundary. What distance did she cover?
Q10. Find the distance travelled by Rachel if he takes 6 rounds of a square field of side 120m.

Q11. The area of a triangle is 15 sq cm. If the height of the triangle is 6 cm, then find its base.
Q12. The length of a piece of a square craft paper is 14 cm, what is its area? Siya has used 12
such craft paper pieces to create a painting without overlaps. What is the area of the painting?
Q13. Two wires of length 42 cm are bent to form a square and a rectangle. The breadth of the
rectangle formed is 5 cm. Which of the two figures, square and rectangle will have a greater
area and by how much?
Q14. The dimensions of a swimming pool are 40 m long, 20 m wide and the water is 2.5 m
deep. What is the volume of water in the pool?
Q15. The length and breadth of a cuboid tank are 5 m and 4 m respectively. If it s full of
water and contains 60 cubic metres of water, find the depth of water in tank.
Q16. A cube has edges of 6 cm long. Find its volume.
Q17.three metal cubes of side 4 cm, 3 cm and 5 cm respectively are melted and reconstructed
into a new cube. Find the side of the new cube.
Q18. How much sand is needed to fill a pit that is 9 cm deep and 3 cm wide and 6 cm long?
Q19. Three cubes of edges 8 cm are joined end to end to form a cuboid. Find the volume of
the cuboid so formed.
Q20. Volume of a cuboid is 60 cubic cms. Two of its sides are 2 and 6 cm. Find the third
side.
