WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Daniel 1-3; 1 John 4
Wednesday, November 30

Heb. 1:2-3 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath
appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his
glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power,
when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Luke 8:43-44 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all
her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the
border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

1 Cor. 5:7-8 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are
unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not
with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread
of sincerity and truth.

Glorious Father and Gracious King:

Majesty on high! Jesus is the brightness of your glory and the express image
of your person. He shows your splendor and power. You give me the light of the
knowledge of your glory in the face of Jesus Christ. Now it is my turn (by your
Spirit) to reflect that light, to impart that knowledge, to manifest that glory, to
point to the Saviors face and proclaim the name of Jesus Christ as Lord!
Thank you for allowing me to point-out traces of the trinity to __________
and __________. Help me by allowing the Holy Spirit to use the truth of your
word to daily destroy sin in my life, to nourish grace in my giving, to bring right
desires to my mind, and to motivate me to holy work and holy words.
Rom. 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen
again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Heb. 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God
by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
I thank you for the prayer of Jesus in John 17, and the promise of his
intercession for me continually. Holy Spirit, spur me to more intense supplication
for the lost. Strengthen my faith with the knowledge of your assistance. Let
floods of mercy flow along an aqueduct of grace, made real by the prayers of
faith. And as your unspeakable love is shed abroad in my heart (Rom. 5:5), so
enable me to spread it abroad to others according to your will. Let me start at
those closest to me, but extend to all who are lost. In Jesus name. Amen.

Merciful Master:
There was a woman one time. She came with the press of the rest, not
daring to get in your face. She came up behind you instead of getting all up on
you, and touched the hem of your garment. She stole a cure, as it were.
Oh, my Father, my FatherI am that woman! I am ashamed. I need a
blessing or I cannot live. What do you say?
Luke 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made
thee whole; go in peace.
Behind him or before him, I push for a touch! Let me make a mad dash in
this prayer. Even if there is an army of demons between Jesus and me, I will plow
my way through by faith. Even if I think I am the most wicked wretch who ever
trusted Christ, I will trust him now just so it can be said in heaven that there was
a bigger sinner returning to the Savior today than ever before. Yes!
Aid me now to trust and rest on the one I cannot see, but must never
doubt, and to follow this as a matter of course every single day of my life. My
believing you are true is the best kind of faith, because it is not faith in what you
can do with me that cures, but faith in who you are.
My dearest Lord Jesus, I throw myself on you now, so I can reach out and
touch even as little as just the fringe of your clothes. Because,
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Make me free especially from the shackles of sin. Make me free to serve
you from the heart with my life. Do it because Jesus only is worth it. Amen.

A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING

FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY

Chronological Bible Reading: Daniel 7-9; 2 John
Friday, December 2

John 21:22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
follow thou me.

SO send I you to labour unrewarded.

To serve unpaid, unloved, unsought, unknown.
To bear rebuke, to suffer scorn and scoffing.
So send I you to toil for Me alone.
So send I you to bind the bruised and broken,
Over wandering souls to work, to weep, to wake,
To bear the burdens of a world a-weary.
So send I you to suffer for My sake.
So send I you to loneliness and longing
With hart a-hungering for the loved and known;
Forsaking kin and kindred, friend and dear one.
So send I you to know My love alone.
So send I you to hearts made hard by hatred,
To eyes made blind because they will not see;
To spend, though it be blood to spend and spare not.
So send I you to taste of Calvary.

Margaret Clarkson, 1938

O Lord Our God and Salvation:

Assist me mercifully with your help. Look on me graciously as part of your
family, one for whom the Lord Jesus Christ was willing to be betrayed, and givenup into the hands of wicked men. By your Spirit I am governed and sanctified.
Receive my prayers, as of every member of our church. Help me both in my
vocation and in my ministry to truly and godly serve you.
You have made me, and you hate nothing you have made. You do not
desire the death of the wicked, but rather, your will is they might be converted
and livesaved! Help me get the truth of the gospel to those who do not know
Jesus as Savior and Lord. Take away from them all ignorance, all hardness of
heart, and all contempt for the Bible. Fetch them to your fold, blessed Lord, that
they may be one flock with us.
Rom. 6:9-11 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death
hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he
liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but
alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Since I am baptized into the death of your Son, grant that by continually
crucifying my corrupt affections I can be buried with him, and through the grave
and fate of death I can pass-on to newness of life. It will not do for me to try to
restrain my sinfulness by bit and bridle; it must be mortifiedslain! Help me do
so today by your Spirit, who is given precisely to let me do that. Amen.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Daniel 10-12; 3 John
Saturday, December 3

Heb. 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain
mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Psa. 77:1 I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear
unto me.

Gracious God and Loving Lord:

We should have been in your prison, driven from your presence for our
sins. But now we come before your throne by prayer 24/7, even invited into your
secret chamber for a personal audience. Our thankfulness should ascend into joy.
We are recipients of such great grace when we are allowed to pray corporately!
Lam. 3:29 He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.
Knee, make sure you bend; head, make sure you bow; heart, make sure you
worship in his presence! Let us place our faces on the floor and our mouths in
the dust. Your throne holds sway in all the worlds. Heaven obeys you cheerfully;
hell trembles at you fearfully; the earth yields to you even unwillingly. We put our
shoes from off our feet to address such an all-consuming God.
Job 25:5-6 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in
his sight. How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
In lowliness we draw near to you. You are our friend, but it cannot be an
unsanctified relationship. Boldness there must be, for we are your children, but it
cannot be disrespect. We are still on earth and you in heaven. We are still worms
and you are God, even as we pray to live according to your Eternal Purpose.
We repent of not bowing as we should before your eternal majesty. Holy
Spirit, put us in a right frame of mind to pray. We want every one of our prayers
to have the proper approach; it is a throne of grace, but still it is a throne.
You are majestic. So if need be, we should sit in silence before you.
1 Sam. 3:9 Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak,
LORD; for thy servant heareth.

Gracious and Mighty God:

A psalm, and a prayer, to end a week. I did not run to man, but to you. And
I did not come to you with formal, stilted words, but with a crythe natural,
heartfelt expression of pain. You saw the intensity of my heart. Praying once was
not sufficient, so I prayed again. I needed an answer, yea, expected one. And I
was anxious to have it sooner than later.
All week long my stress and distress drove me to you. Day and night
trouble was on my mind, and continued in prayer with a constantly recurring, if
not continually occurring, dependence. How many times did I see persistent
prayer prevail! Hear me again, and I know you will answer me right on time.
Psa. 77:6 I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart:
and my spirit made diligent search.
I remember when it seemed like sorrow ate into my soul. Words failed
because my heart failed. I was speechless as well as sleepless, yet I rallied to pray.
I ransacked the past to find comfort. I borrowed a light from the altars of
yesteryear to brighten the gloom of the day.
I make it my duty this weekend to search for comfort instead of
sullenly yielding to depression. Thoughts always show up in my quiet
meditation to raise my spirit. Your faithfulness is tried and proven to be true.
Give me a song for the darkest hour. Even when words will not come let
me hum the tune of praisefulness. I should not sing only sad songs, or even
secular songs. I will not die by the hand of the enemy as long as I have strength
enough to pray like this. Make this a victorious weekend in Jesus! Amen.

TITHEWORK

1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)

TEAMWORD

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS

Keeping Christ at the center (your core relationship of worship to God)

Keeping the body of Christ a priority (your congregational relationship of
walking with us)
Basing beliefs and actions on the mind of Christ (your church relationship in
the Word)

Dont make excuses; make a difference!

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.
Alan

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
