Libgen.io doesn't work (self.Scholar)

It's impossible to download books from http://gen.lib.rus.ec/ for me because I c
an't click on libgen.io to download anything. The page fails. I get "No data rec
eived ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE". The main page doesn't work either. Does this happen t
o anyone else?

If you are in the US, it has been blocked for a while - use a chrome plugin like
zenmate to act as a vpn to make it look like you are in another country - then
it works fine.

Alternately, using a service like Unblocked.la works too. No need for a plugin i
f OP doesn't want to install a plugin.

OP was specifically mentioning links to libgen.io giving that message. I can alr
eady access gen.lib.rus.ec but when searching for a book, many of the links don'
t go thru anymore. I assume they've been shut down or blocked. But since people
were offering suggestions to open libgen.io links I thought I'd try them out.
VPN = doesn't help unblocked.li = doesn't help
Yes I can access the site you linked. I can access it without unblocked.li alrea
dy though. It's the download links that are hit and miss, mostly miss.

hm, it would help to have an example. i know many of the mirror sites are busted
, but i have always been able to download from the libgen-hosted ones.

I can't believe I have been such an idiot. Thank you! All of this time I thought
that all of the mirror websites were slowly going down one by one. I didn't thi
nk to even try something like this! Now downloading textbooks from libgen is eas
ier than ever. I hope they stay alive for many years to come.
