Orthopaedic Trauma Association

Trauma & Fracture Care

Residency Core Curriculum Lectures
The Orthopaedic Trauma Association is proud to provide this syllabus of lectures
to support comprehensive orthopaedic trauma resident education. These
presentations are meant to be used by educators and are supplied in a fashion
that specifically allows for modification. The OTA respectfully requests that
proper credit be given to the original author as well as the OTA when the talks
are presented, even in modified form. These lectures will also be available on
the OTA website (www.ota.org), and will be continually updated in a rolling
fashion over a three year cycle.
The Orthopaedic Trauma Association would like to thank all of the members
who participated in creating this first version of the orthopaedic trauma syllabus
and those who will be charged with its maintenance.
This project was supported by an Orthopaedic Research and Education
Foundation grant. The OTA graciously acknowledges the contributions of line
drawings and art from Rockwood and Greens Fractures textbooks by
permission of Lippincott, Williams and Wilkens.

Trauma & Fracture Care

Residency Core Curriculum Lectures
To optimize use, organization and links of the Orthopaedic Trauma Associations
Trauma and Fracture Care Residency Core Curriculum Lectures, it is
recommended that the user copy the entire contents of both CDs to ONE single
folder on a hard drive. Please note that each CD contains an intro file
(INTRO.pps) and a main index (INDEX-TABLE OF CONTENTS.ppt). It is
only necessary to copy one of each of these files. Contents of both CDs will
consume approximately 1.3 GB of hard drive space.
The last slide of each presentation contains two action buttons which when
viewed in Slide Show mode will link to either that categorys index or the
main index. To maintain optimum navigation, it is recommended that you retain
the original file name and store within the same folder if a presentations
contents is modified.
Individual presentations can be downloaded from the OTA website
(www.ota.org), but document names and file locations must be consistent with
originals for links to work.
