RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
Thinglink allows a student to add annotations onto images. A student can annotate an image by placing
a dot on a certain location on an image. Students can then click on the dot to add text to that place on
the image. Students can also embed links into the dock, allowing students to connect websites, videos
or provide further images that relate to that image. This can allow students to make interesting and
engaging multimedia presentations and can also be used as resources by other students.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration
you described, using the selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.
Thinglink can align with content standards, as it can be used to assist in presenting material relating to
the history content standards. Thinglink can be used by teachers during lessons, but its biggest
strength is in enhancing lessons. Thinglink provides certain benefits over traditional presentation tools
like Powerpoint or posters, but it does not signifigantly add to student learning in and of itself. However,
it does expand upon the students ability to draw from different sources on the internet and present
them. However, the process is not transformed by the use of Thinglink in a way that Powerpoint or other
presentation software could not. Id give Thinglink a solid 2 on the Value added rating scale.
