2. Students will form and use regular and irregular plural nouns.
3. Students will ensure pronoun-antecedent agreement.

Time Frame 2 minutes to open tech. and Webquest. (Tech. 1)
2 minutes to read introduction of nouns and pronouns
5 minutes to watch Schoolhouse Rock nouns (Tech. 2)

5 minutes to watch video on pronouns


5 minutes to play noun game (Tech. 3)
5 minutes to play pronoun game
5 minutes to read antecedent info and view examples
5 minutes to create graph for in-class activity (Tech. 4)

Independent/group practice, project/inquiry learning.

DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION/ ADAPTATIONS/ INTERVENTIONS


Visual learners these students will benefit from seeing examples of each part of speech.
Auditory learners these students will benefit from listening to the videos.
Tactile learners these students will benefit from playing the online games
Special Needs Options: - these students will benefit from help from an adult and extra
time in when they come to class.
PROCEDURES
Introduction/ Lesson Set
To begin, the students will open the WebQuest.

Body & Transitions


The students will read the information on the Webquest about nouns and pronouns.
They will also have examples.
Next, the students will click on the links, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=Qk4N5kkifGQ) and watch the Schoolhouse Rock videos on nouns and pronouns.
The students will then click the links for the games to play on
http://www.ixl.com/ela/grade-3/which-word-is-a-noun and the pronoun game as well.
Scores are to be written down and given to the teacher in class.
The students will receive information on regular and irregular nouns and play a game
with a link.
The students will then read the information in antecedent agreement and view
examples.
A game is in a link to them to play for antecedent agreement as well.
Closure For the end of the lesson, the students will create a graphic organizer for the
activity in class when they arrive.
ASSESSMENT
Diagnostic: Students will be given definitions of nouns and pronouns. (Objective 1)
Formative: The students will play games on nouns, pronouns, regular and irregular nouns,
and antecedent agreement. (Objective 1, 3)
Summative: The students will demonstrate their knowledge trough the in-class activity with
the graph they created.

EXTENTED ACTIVITIES If Student Finishes Early


If students finish early in class they may play more games on nouns and pronouns.
If Lesson Finishes Early
If the lesson finishes early, the students will start on the next part of speech.
If Technology Fails
If technology fails, the students will do the lesson in class and the organizer activity at
home.
