ENCOURAGEMENT PROCEDURES
Table Points: There are six table groups. On the board, there are six
boxes that represent each group. Groups will be asked to put tallies in their
box. They will be asked to do this when their table group is modeling
expected, positive behavior. The table group with the most points gets Jolly
Ranchers at the end of the day.
PBIS Clips: The whole school uses a PBIS clip stick. This stick has multiple
colors and a clothespin with student names. Red = Parent Contact, Orange
= Think About It, Yellow = Slow Down, Green = Ready To Learn, Blue =
Great Job, Purple = Super Star. Every student starts on green each day.
Positive choices are rewarding by clipping up. Poor choices will result in
clipping down. If students clip down, they can turn their behavior around
and clip back up when they demonstrate changed behavior. Ending on
purple results in a Go 4 It ticket at the end of the day. Students ending on
yellow or below two or more times in a month do not get the privilege of
attending the behavior celebration at the end of the month.
Go 4 It Tickets: Exceptional positive behavior is rewarded with Go 4 It
tickets. Any student can get a ticket from any teacher. These tickets are
used at the school store to buy prizes.
Behavior Celebrations: Students who demonstrate positive behavior
have the privilege of attending monthly behavior celebrations. These
celebrations have snacks, music, and/or play time. Students ending on
yellow or below two or more times in a month do not get the privilege of
attending the behavior celebration at the end of the month.

CORRECTION PROCEDURES FOR MISBEHAVIOR

PBIS Clips: Clipping down is a flag to students that they need to change
their behavior.
Proximity: Moving toward a student misbehaving is a signal to stop
unwanted behavior.
Non-Verbal Signals: Eye contact and a slight head nod is a signal to stop
unwanted behavior.
