Governance is the governing and interaction process among the actors

involved in a collective issue . It is the process of decision making, may be in

public or private organization, which is implemented or not implemented .
when it comes to the public administration, It is the policy formulation and
implantation process of the government in different sectors of the state. In
other words, It is the process how government manage the political,
economic and administrative affairs of the country in terms of quality public
service delivery and the development of the country.
As a governing process of the state, it may be good or bad governance in
terms of way of decision making process. If the process goes through in a
transparent manner through ensuring the participation of its actors and
maintaining a certain level of accountability to the people, it can be said as
good governance.
On the contrary, in absence of good governance, the decisions are made
behind the closed door in an authoritative manner and enforced through
coercive power of the government.
In this era of globalization, without existence of good governance the
balance and sustainable development of the country, especially in third
world country like Bangladesh , will remain a myth. Sometime we confine the
development within the framework of infrastructural development but it
encompasses every aspect related to the life of the people. So Prevailing and
pervasive presence of the good governance indicators are inevitable to
ensure sustainable development of the country.
