I have been directed by my director to attend the high school ARDs and
facilitate these ARDs as an administrator. I sat and listened to the special
Ed teachers report out there reports on the students IEP. The parent and the
student interacted with the teachers in developing the IEP. I asked questions
when I felt that the parents question wasnt answered. I expected for
teachers to be helpful and focused in developing and developing the student
IEP.
I was asked to attend a Lead Teacher meeting. The district
Coordinator met with all district facilitators to discuss
procedures and expectations for them. It seemed that some
of the facilitators were overwhelmed.
I attended and represented the campus administrator in
these meetings. Parents were friendly and asked several
questions regarding their childs grades and class
assignments.
I attended the High school ARD meeting scheduled for this
month. I was asked to know the administrator role as far as
knowing procedures and schedules at the district level.
I went to the local HEB grocery store to follow up on the ETC teacher and
students. This is a work base learning program geared to teach students job
experiences at the jobsites. This is a program I oversee. The students were
working on an aisle stocking can vegetables. The Job coach assured me
students knew what was expected and she helped the students align the cans
on the shelf. Students didnt seem confident in completing these tasks and
the work experience was not as good as it could have been. I talked to the
teacher to provide helpful criticism to provide him with some ideas and
direction of the purpose of the student being at HEB. I stated to the teacher
that more responsibility needs to place on the student.

I participated in the campus ARD. The ARD scheduled for
today were Annuals. The teachers were well prepared and
they took the time to explain and answer all the questions
from the parents attending these ARD.

CATE classes. I printed out all the high school schedules to conduct an
audit for the purpose of identifying CATE classes for SpEd. students for
next school year. I will meet with the SpEd. Director and CATE director in
one week to review my findings.

I attended a meeting at JFK and met with the Sp Ed teachers
to discuss Learning Walks and following a meeting to discuss
campus goals and student grades. I also discussed with the
teachers about building student relationships with the
students.

arts academy to review her rights as a student with
disabilities. The student was confused with her rights and
asked if she could stay in special ed even if she did not have
a doctors note. I exd to her that her FIE was current and she

I attended a disability awareness event at the Texas
Workforce Rehabilitation Center. I participated in
discussions concerning students that are 18 years and older
and the issues in finding employment for these students.

I conducted a walk through in the life units at memorial high
school. My objective was to look at the vocational activities
being performed by the teacher.

goals. What interesting with this meeting is that the student
is an adult but the parents does not have guardianship of
the student.

coach. I discussed with the members deadlines that the
committee needed to focus on. I was also asked to check on
popcorn prices. It was a different role that I didnt expect to
