Anatomy Body Structure of a Human Being

Nerve Tissue Control in our Body

Physiology Function and activities of a Human Being

Organ System A group of organs that work

Cell smallest structural and functional unit of an

organism

together to perform one or more functions. Each

does a particular job in the body, and is made up of
certain tissues.

CELL MEMBRANE- regulates what passes in and out.

CHROMOSOMES - the cell's genetic material.

Organ Biology study of organ

NUCLEOLUS - produces ribosomes.

SYSTEMS-a combination of related parts

organized into a complex whole

RIBOSOMES - produces proteins.

Skeletal System framework that supports the body

GOLGI APPARATUSSO - to package the proteins that

was produced by the ribosomes.

Integumentary System protects the body from damage

CYTOPLASM- contains a fluid material and organelles

considered as the cell's organs.
ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM - to transport materials
between the cells.
MITOCHONDRIA- to generates energy from the cell's
activities.
LYSOSOMES - enzymes that can break down particles
entering the cell.
CENTRIOLES- this participate in the cell division.
2 Types of Cells
Eukaryotic cells - contain a nucleus.
Prokaryotic cells - does not contain a nucleus.
Tissue Group of Cells

Histology study of tissue

Types of Tissues
Epithelial Tissue protection, secretion, absorption and
Filtration
Connective Tissue Attachment

Muscular System System of a species that allows it to

move.
Nervous System Communicate information
Endocrine System instrumental in regulating
Lymphatic System - Responsible for the removal of
interstitial fluid from tissues
Circulatory System transport nutrients, gases, and
wastes to and from cells.
Digestive System break down food into small particle
Respiratory System exchanges of gases
Urinary System system that produces, stores, and
eliminates urine.
Reproductive System work together for the purpose of
reproduction.

FUNCTION OF THE ORGANS

Skeletal System provides supports and structure (Bones and Cartilage)
Integumentary System regulates body temperature (Skin and Hair)
Muscle System Movement (Muscle and Tendons)
Nervous System Control (Brain and Nerve, Spinal Cord)
Endocrine System Reproductive Functions (pituitary gland, thyroid gland)
Lymphatic System transport and filter (nodes, lymph vessels, spleen
Circulatory System Pumps Blood (Heart and Arteries)
Digestive System absorbs nutrients (Stomach, Liver, Intestine)
Respiratory System exchanges of gases (Lungs and Trachea)
Urinary System Removes Waste (Kidney and Bladder)
Reproductive System produce sex cells (male: Testes, Seminal vesicles female: Ovaries, Uterus)
