Prof. S.K.Singh obtained his MBA and Ph.D. (Management Studies) degrees from
BHU and started his academic career in 1977. Since then he has made seminal
contributions to the areas of OB and HRM by publishing more than 60 reserach
papers in national and international journals and 16 research based books/
edited books. Prof. Singh has supervised one D.Litt. and more than a dozen Ph.D.
dissertations and successfully completed six projects funded by various
government and other agencies.
Prof. Singh has served the university in various administrative capacities, viz.,
Dean and Head, Faculty of Management Studies; Chief Proctor, BHU; Chairman,
Core group, Rajiv Gandhi South Campus; Chairman, HRD Cell, BHU and the
Placement Chairman, FMS, BHU.
Prof. Singh is honoured with Asia Pacific International Award for Global Achievers
which was conferred at Tashkant in 2012 in addition to many other national
awards.
He has also served as the Chair Professor of Indian Studies at University of
Pokhara, Nepal for two years (2013-15). The Chair was created by the Indian
Council for Cultural relations, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India
and was the first in the area of management.
