When someone asks, what music do you listen to? Personally, I think its very similar to asking the question, what language do you speak? There are so many types of languages out there just like there are so many types of music. For every different country, they have their own language that they speak just like with music, every different countriesy probably listens to something elsedifferent types of music. There can bewith an exceptions to this with people across the world of a few who listen to the same thing. Music is just a different way of speaking to someone,, its just like speaking to someone except with a rhythm and melody and your message can be conveyed to many different people which makes it universal. Any language has its grammatical rules like verbs, nouns, adjectives, and etc. to actually make the language understandable and give it clarity. The same is true with music,. Mmusic has its rules alsoto such as proper notes, keys, pitch, and etc. The onlyOne major difference between music and language is that music can reach a much larger group of people. When playing the radio in the car, I think about how many other people are listening to that same song. At a concert a lot of the time people leaveMany people leave concerts feeling those events happy and emotional because music touches people in ways that just speaking to someone cant. Music can bring people together as well whether its a concert, club, or wedding. Music brings out the emotion in people who may not necessarily feel sad all the time, but when music plays certain emotions can beare released and it becomesits easier to relate towith other people given the shared experience of listening to music. The beautiful thing about music is that it will always be around. From the beginning of time untill today there was always music, even before the idea of music was thought ofunderstood. For example, thousands of years ago, when there were no instruments or computers to make music there were birds chirping in theose trees just having a good time making melodies and beautiful sounds which would be considered music. Language will change over time but it will never be gone over time, just like music, which it will change over time with genres changing over the course of newthrough generations but it will never be gone. The fact that it will exist forever and everyone all over the world listens to music makes me believe that music is a universal language that will coexists always to speak to different people and touch them in different ways. Overall to conclude, I believe that music is a universal language because I have realized that languagemusic is the same thing music does much of what
language does, but in a different way. It communicates and reaches people on a
different level., Iit brings people together, and it will never cease to exist. These reasons I truly believe make music a universal language.
