AERIES Parent Portal
AERIES is an online gradebook system, and both parents and students have separate accounts to log in to see students
grades, attendance and teacher contact information. If you have not yet activated an account, please contact your
students counselor for account setup information.

Spring Semester Changes

For the Spring Semester, pink class schedules will not be given to students. Students are encouraged to check their AERIES
beginning Wednesday December 14, to check for any changes to spring class schedules, including requested changes and
sports changes. In AERIES, please be sure to check under Class Schedule and not Gradebook Summary for spring schedule.

Seniors: Cap & Gown Orders

Jostens will be on campus to take Cap and Gown orders during lunch on the following days:

Guidance Information & Updates

Rio Hondo Classes @ Willow Campus
The Willow Campus at HLP Adult School is a satellite campus for Rio Hondo
Community College. Next semester, several Rio Hondo college classes will be
offered at the Willow Campus. High school students are able to take the course
for free, while earning college credits. Interested students may speak with their
counselor for more information. Last day to enroll is February 8, 2017.
Next semester, the following Rio Hondo courses will be offered at Willow. There
are no prerequisites.

Seniors: 2017-2018 Financial Aid Applications

Seniors who plan to pursue higher education after high school should submit a
free financial aid application, in order to determine eligibility for financial aid.
Which application to fill out? There are two types of free financial aid
applications available - FAFSA or the CA DREAM Application. Only one of the two
applications should be submitted; not both! If you are unsure which one to fill
out, please speak with your childs Counselor.
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid): https://fafsa.ed.gov/
Students who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens (have green
card") can apply with the FAFSA. This is a free application.
CA DREAM Act: http://dream.csac.ca.gov
AB540 students (undocumented students) can apply using the CA
DREAM Act Application. This is a free application.
CSS Profile: http://css.collegeboard.org/
Some private colleges/universities require the CSS Profile in addition to
the FAFSA. Only submit, if required.

Seniors: CSU Conditionally Ready in Math

There is a new way for Conditionally Ready seniors to satisfy the CSU Math requirement, if they are not taking a math class
in 12th grade. Students can take an online class and if they pass, can avoid taking the Math Placement Test (ELM) for the CSU
system. Please see flyer attached to email for more information.
