The Look-Back Effect Project

Cognitive Development

Cognitive development is the construction of thought and the process of thinking . These factors
include problem-solving and making decision based on everyday life. Every individual makes an
understanding how they see the world and how they want to interpret it. Cognitive development
starts from earliest of life and goes on until adulthood.

Cartoon

Cartoon seems to be the essential mental growth to children. It is the best way to entertain them.
It is noted that cartoon 70% percent of the people think that cartoon do not contain a negative
context. however , 51% people agreed that cartoon has a negative affect.

Content

Children like to watch cartoons like Road-Runner and Scooby Doo and many other more
because it is entertaining to them. Many cartoons are considered a suitable, educational for
children and others are blamed for the distraction or aggression that brings out on children

Behavior

Some studies have analyzed that cartoons have brought out the violent behaviors like yelling,
bullying and destroying things. Others say that cartoon make children observant and able to
understand what they view on television and have the ability to differentiate between fantasy

and reality. The character of a cartoon may interpret the consequences of the fiction world but
also can teach lessons too.

Children love to explore; they are full of curiosity since their brain does not contain all the
information that an adult brain has. It is important to let them explore and contain the world
concepts on their own. Cartoons are gradually making children active and inactive both in
academic and social life.
