Director (Technical)
It is proposed to fill the post of Director (Technical) on deputation
from the willing candidates having requisite qualifications & experience
indicated for the position shown below from the Central Government or the
State Government or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings or
Universities or Government Research Institutions or Autonomous
Government Organizations and other State Remote Sensing Centres initially
for a period of three years. The application(s) for the post shall be send

Duties and responsibilities

The broad duties & responsibilities of the

position are as follows:

Coordination of In-house, sponsored and

Research Projects & responsible for delivery
of out puts of each Project as per the time
schedule.
Leading the team of Scientists of APSAC.
Management of
Technical Manpower
including identification and positioning to
suit the priorities
He will be responsible for Quality
output of the projects and also planning
of Infrastructure for the present and
future needs of APSAC

i)

Educational
First class Masters Degree in Sciences or
Engineering
from
any
recognized
University/ Institute.
20 years of experience in RS & GIS in the
field of Natural Resources Mapping
(Water Resources/ Geology/ Ground

iii)

Water/ Land use and Land Cover&

Ecology/
/Agriculture / Soils / and
Geomatics etc., and at least 5 years of
experience in Coordination of RS and GIS
Projects of the above nature .
Should have Clean and good track record

iv)

Should be working as
Scientist SG

cadre
under the Central Government or the
State Government or Union Territories or
Public
Sector
Undertakings

Universities

Govt.
Research
Institutions

Scientist SF (Pay Band 3740067000 GP-8700) with at least two

b Desirable: : i)

First class in Post Graduation in RS & GIS

technology and experience in the field of
same Technology.

Technical knowledge in LIDAR /3 D survey

/ GPRS etc.,
