TV5 thanks Willie Revillame for P.O.5.

surprise visit but will not air his full appearance

his birthday celebration," TV5 said in a
statement regarding the network's decision not
to air Willie Revillame's guesting at P.O.5 to
avoid possible legal repercussions.

TV5 management extended its heartfelt

gratitude to controversial noontime show host
Willie Revillame for exerting effort to
personally greet John Estrada during the
taping of the network's weekend show P.O.5
last June 13.

Revillame's surprise visit happened during the birthday special prepared by P.O.5 for Estrada.
John and Willie's friendship goes back to the time when they were both hosting the now-defunct
ABS-CBN variety program Magandang Tanghali Bayan together with Randy Santiago.

The rare reunion was supposed to be aired yesterday, June 20, but ABS-CBN reportedly
reminded TV5 that the public exhibition of Revillame's appearance would be a violation of his
contract with the Lopez-owned network and may lead to possible legal actions if disregarded.

Willie is currently on leave from Wowowee following a disagreement with entertainment

reporter and radio commentator Jobert Sucaldito. Despite his decision to take an indefinite break
from hosting, Revillame's contractual obligation with ABS-CBN stays and that includes
refraining from accepting guesting invitations from rival networks.

"Kahit bawal, gumawa ako ng paraan," Willie proudly told John during the visit.

SEEKING PERMISSION. In a statement sent to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) by

TV5 Public Relations and Media Consultant Peachy Vibal-Guioguio earlier today, June 21, the
network said it respects Willie's contractual obligations with his home network.

"We thank him for taking the time to surprise our host, John Estrada, during his birthday
celebration," the statement reads. "But we also don't want Willie to get into trouble for it. That's
why despite the clamor that we air his full appearance on P.O.5, our legal department contacted
ABS-CBN's legal department and we were advised by ABS-CBN that the airing of Willie's full
appearance on P.O.5 will be a violation of their agreement."

Part of TV5's letter to ABS-CBN stated: "May we clarify if such uninvited and unpaid
appearance is prescribed in the said agreement. If it is, may we request ABS-CBN to allow us by
the way of exception to air the 'P.O.5' segment with Mr. Revillame in its entirety."

ABS-CBN replied, stressing that the airing of Willie's appearance will "constitute an
interference with the said contract on your part [TV5]."
