Introduction:
One of the major difficulties in combating child abuse and neglect is
keeping not only children healthy but also observing the well-being of the
parents and/or care takers. One of the most pervasive claims in scholarly
and popular literature is for the cycle of violence: that abused children
become abusers, and victims of violence become violent victimizers
(Widom).
The purpose of this proposal is to help persuade New Mexico to
become better role models and to help influence our next generation about
love and compassion towards one another. The most promising approach
toward building an ethical organization for our generation is founded on the
concept of avoiding harm to any other living lives. (DAmato)
We have been arguing for lifetimes about resources for widespread
early childhood intervention, but visualize the cost of savings for the next
generation of children who grow up knowing how to get a job and keep a job,
how to handle rage and frustration, and how to understand the difference
between managing self-control and malicious violence. At the end of this
proposal I want decide the best way to bring awareness of child abuse and
funding for families in need of help.
Current Situation:
parents one to many times. Kids being bullied at school that turns into school
shootings. Teenagers killing other teenagers because of gang related activity.
Children being kidnapped and raped. Now instead of our kids being able to
play in our front yard we cant trust the babysitter being around our own
children.
Qualifications:
I hope to have seminars at schools about these kinds of situations.
These seminars I think would be beneficial to parents, teachers and kids. It
could help bring a better understanding of where the community stands as a
whole. The seminars would be about different subjects that surround the
effect of child abuse and neglect and what it all stems from. This would be
only to talk about these issues to let it be known and persuade society the
concept of love and what it means to have compassion and an
understanding of each other as human beings.
Id hope to see pediatrics and universities discuss the trauma kids go
through not only in this day in age but also how past experiences can effect
kids of behaviors. Just talking to our future generation about how we as
people need to know what it is to love is better than teaching the community
how to hate and condone violence.
