The principal disadvantages of the nuclear energy are:
Radioactive waste: Radio isotopes stay in the atmosphere in some form or the
other, these reactive radical make sand or the water contaminated.
Nuclear Accidents: The risk associated with the possibility of a nuclear accident is
relatively high. Although the science and engineering have been big effort to
decrease this possibility.
Nuclear Radiation: The production of plutonium.
High Cost: It need a lot of investment to set up a nuclear power station. Nuclear
power plants normally take 5-10 year to construct as there are legal formalities to
be completed.
National Risk: Nuclear enegy has giben us the power to produce more weapons.
Impact on Aquactic Life:
Fuel Availability: Uranium is a scarce resource and is not found in many countries
and itsnt renewable.

Nuclear energy

-Reduce the amount of energy generated form fossil fuels.
-The production of electric energy is continous, the nuclear station is generating
almost 90% of the annual time. Reducing the volatility of other fuels such as
petrol.
-The nuclear station dont depends on natural aspects, opposite to the alternatives
energy like photovoltaic panels.
-Reduce the consumption of fuels, this reduction benefits the situation of global
warming and global climate change.

Summary of the
-The Chernobyl accident in 1986 was the result of a flawed reactor design that was

operated with inadequately trained personnel.
-The resulting steam explosion and fires released almost 5% of the radiactive
reactor core into the atmosphere and downwind, some 5200 PBq.
-Two Chernobyl plant workers died on the night of the accident, and a further 28
people died within a few weeks as a result of acute radiation poisoning.
-The Chernobyl disaster was a unique event and the only accident in the history of
commercial nuclear power where radiation-related fatalities ocurred.
-It led to major changes in safety culture industry cooperation, particulary between

East and West before the end of the Soviet Union.

This article show a particular case for thinking the big effort than can improve the
energy industry decreasing the threat of another nuclear accident.
