2,7,11 Houses for Marriage

1. In KP house 2 (family members), 7 (legal bondage, spouse) and 11 (permanent tie of friendship and partnership in life) are to be judged for marriage, as explained in pages 109-110 and
117 of KP Reader IV. This rule is generally followed by KP astrologers including C.R. Bhatt (Nakshatra
Chintamani), K.M. Subramaniam (Sublord Speaks- 1 to 3), P.M. Shanmugam (Astrosecrets & KP Part I),
Dr. K.R. Kar (KP & Astrology Year Books).
1,6,10,8,12 Houses for Divorce
2.As per KP Reader V page 176 (168 in Old Edition), significators of houses 2,7,11 are to be considered
for marriage and the houses 6,12,10,8 are for divorce.
3. The same is said in Astrosecrets & KP Part III page 11 that for marriage significators of houses 2,7,11 are beneficial; for
divorce, 6,10,12 and 8 are beneficial; page 22, houses 1,6,10 and 8 are not favorable for marriage.
4. Separation from the partner due to disharmony or difference of opinion is to be considered by 1,6,10 houses only and
8 is also to be considered, if quarrel is involved. Finally to get divorce after long quarrel and fighting in court 1,6,10,8,12
houses are to be considered, as found in divorce cases of Further Light of Nakshatra Chintamani by C.R. Bhatt, and in
Sublord Speaks- 1 to 3, 1,6,8,10,12 houses are detrimental for marriage and matrimonial life which may head towards
divorce. Divorce with mutual consent is possible without 8 and 12 houses. (Umang Taneja: Marriage and Relationships)
5. Even Dr. Y.S.N. Murthty, who had said that 8 (house of sex) and 12 (bed comfort) are required for marriage and sexual
pleasure (KP& Astrology 2001 pp 81-82), had considered 2,5,7 or 11 house for marriage and 1,12,4,6,8 or 10 house for
separation (KP & Astrology 2001 pp 75-77). 8th House in Support of Divorce
6. Hence 8th house (quarrel, disappointment) is found in support of divorce but not in support of marriage although it does
not negate marriage and not threaten separation from the partner.
Other Views
7. However, some KP astrologers are of the view of that signification of houses 5 and 8 by the 7th cusp sub lord can also
give marriage since 5th is 11th to the 7th and 8th is 2nd to 7th. Considering 5th house for marriage in the case of love marriage is understandable. Among KP astrologers taking 5th house for marriage, Kousalya Sattainathan has said in her KPs Astrology & Prime Ministers, page 6 that for marriage houses 1,7,5 and 11 are to be considered. If it is not a printing error of
1st house for house 2nd house, there is no way in KP to take 1st house (12th to 2nd) for marriage. Capable KP astrologers
taking 8th house for marriage without signification of 2,7,11 are rare to find in the KP literature in English.
8. According to other theories, Four Step theory considers 5th house (11th to 7th) and 8th house (2nd to 7th) as supporting
houses for marriage, in addition to 2,7,11 main houses; Cuspal Interlinks theory considers 5,7,11 houses for marriage and
2nd house is not taken as a house of danger and death to the 7th house; in System Approach (SA), 8th house is considered
as one of many marriage significators.
Promise of Marriage
9. The 7th cusp sub lord indicates whether marriage is promised or not. If marriage is promised, the required significators
of DBA lords point the time of marriage when it agrees with transit. (KP Reader V p 21)
10. In judging whether marriage is promised or not, only 2,7,11 houses are preferable to consider. Basically marriage can be
denied, if 7th cusp sub lord signifies only 1,6,10, 4 negative houses without signification of any of 2,7,11 marriage houses. As
long as 7th cusp sub lord signifies any of marriage houses, marriage cannot be denied even though negative house are
signified. And so marriage denial may not be judged effectively, if more houses other than 2,7,11 are considered for marriage.
Timing of Marriage
11. In fixing timing of marriage (DBA), food for thought is that more houses other than 2,7,11 can be involved in all kinds
of capacities depending on specific circumstances, for instance 5 for love marriage, love affairs, fulfillment of pleasure, 8 for
sexual enjoyment, dowry, fathers expenditure for her wedding, 3,9 (3rd from 7th) for negotiation or contract for marriage,
12 for bed comfort, 3, 9 or 12 houses for a bride leaving her parents residence to join the bridegrooms family in a far place
or foreign country in the case of marriage to foreigner.
12. DBA is not applicable for events which are to happen in a day or two i.e. daily events. Analysis of DBA is essential for

not only in fixing timing of marriage but also in judging marriage denial. Because promise of marriage cannot be materialized,
if signifiors of Dasa lords are not fruitful for marriage during marriageable age of native.
13. The most commonly used Vimshottari dasa system of Maharishi Prashara is one of three pillars of KP for calculation of
subs and forecasting system. James Braha has said that perhaps the greatest feature of Hindu astrology is the dasa system
of prediction (Ancient Hindu Astrology for Modern Western Astrologer p 217).
Issue for Research
13. Regarding the DBA of prediction, an issue for research is how some events have taken place without signification of
any required house by the DBA lords, their stars and subs as per house lordship and occupation.
14. General rules cannot not fit to each and every event of a natal chart. A cent percent accuracy in the astrological prediction would be possible, if and only if everything in ones life is predestined at the moment of birth by past Karma.
However, as a compromise, the results of ones limited free will in this lifetime may not be denied within the fated effects
present at birth through the planetary positions in his or natal chart according to past Karma. (see KP Reader II p 19) Muhurat may be helpful to get the desirable results of free will. Moreover, Horary or Ruling Planets also may not guarantee to
all to be always helpful.
Bottom Line
15. The bottom line is that 100% correct prediction cannot be given with the literature available and with the knowledge
that we may gain by studying them alone. (KP Reader II p 46)

This case belongs to the ward of my friend who was working in an MNC and had to receive the offer
of regular appointment from apprenticeship by March-2009. I was returning from Shimla on Nov 26,
2008 and during the flight makeover time at Delhi airport, I received a call from him who was curious
to know whether she would continue in the present job. He gave me horary number 113.
I casted the chart at Delhi airport for horary number 113 and rotated it to the 5th house.
The rotated chart is as follows:
Coordinates of judgment
Lagna in this chart represents the native and 7th the employer. 3-9th cusps indicate the negotiations taking place
between them on the perks/terms of the job or any other matter.
The prospects in a horary chart relating to the profession are primarily governed by the 10H, as this house decides
the way the flow of karma takes place for matters relating to profession.
2nd house indicates the salary.
The 6th house indicates the job at hand.
It may be noted that the analysis of cusps of various houses along with the planetary significations represent the
fixed promises of the chart but the results are dispensed by the suitable dasha-bhukti in consonance with the
transits.
The Query
In the horary chart, Moon is placed in 10th house indicating the matter pertaining to the job. Moon falling in the 3rd and
9th cusps also indicated some dialogues taking place between the native and the employer.
With the above, I took the chart OK to proceed for further analysis.
Analysis of the chart
Look at the promise indicated by the lagna.
Rahu is the lagna sub-lord, which is strong because of having no planet in its star. Placement of Rahu in lagna makes the native
a headstrong in his opinions.
At the stellar level, Rahu falls in the star of 7th lord Moon placed in the 10th house favoring the employer to allow the native
to continue. Mercury as sub-lord of Rahu is 6th lord placed in 11th house does promise the native to continue.
Rahu disposes Saturn (sign lord) and Moon (Star lord).
Saturn as 2nd lord (Salary) is placed in 8th house, hence the salary could have been an issue in this employment. Saturn is
placed in the star and sub of 8th lord Sun; hence the resolution of salary figure may not be in the favor of the native.
Moon is analyzed briefly in the preceding para and shows the dialogues going on between the native and the employer.
In short, the indications of Lagna do promise the continuance of the job with the salary as point of focus.
Look at the 10th cuspal sub-lord indicating the promise of the job.
10th cuspal sub-lord is Jupiter, which as 12th lord gets placed in 12th house and does not portend a rosy picture of job
prospects and shows that the job could be a burden on the native without enough compensation.
At the stellar level, Jupiter falls in the star of 8th lord Sun placed in 11th house, which does not promise enough longevity
of the job in hand. The sub-lord of Jupiter is Moon and its placement in 10th house does make the native to continue for
the time being.
Look at the 6th cusp for the actual job definition
Saturn is the cuspal sub-lord of the 6th cusp and as analyzed in the preceding para, it makes the salary an issue of frustration.
Looking to the 6th and 10th cusp together, it seems apparent that the job in hand may continue on extension, though the
salary may be the cause of concern and if not fixed to the natives satisfaction, the native may break off from this job, as the
native seems headstrong.

Look at the 11th cusp for the overall fructification of the query.
Venus is the 11th cuspal sub-lord and as 5th lord it points the upcoming changeover. Venus falls in its own star placed in
12th house losing the hold on the job and its sub-lord Saturn gets placed in 8th house as 2nd lord causes the salary as an
issue to break over.
Thus, there could be a possibility of the natives continuing the job for some time being as indicated by the 10th cusp but
the possibility of becoming permanent with good salary seems remote.
Look at the dasha breakup.
Jupiter-Mercury was running till Dec 24, 2008. Thereafter, Jupiter-Ketu was to run.
Dasha lord-Jupiter as analyzed above does allow the native to continue in the job but with a crib of salary.
Bhukti lord Mercury is placed the star of 2nd lord Saturn and its sub lord Sun in 11th house. Thus, it was concluded
that Mercury bhukti would not allow the native to discontinue the job.
Next bhukti was that of Ketu. Ketu placed in 7th house had to roll the ball to the employer for negotiating the compensation
package. Here, the 9th cusp is to be examined to know the outcome from the employers side.
Mars is the sub-lord of the 9th cusp and its placement in 11th house makes the employer to favor the native to continue.
However, Mars falls in the sub of Rahu placed in lagna but it does not favour substantial compensation package (as analyzed
in the preceding para) and the native was to take a final call whether to continue or not.
No analysis was done further to it.
Findings
It was communicated to my friend that his ward may continue the job but on unsatisfactory salary package, which could
be a serious issue of concern. It could be possible that the native could deter continuing in the job herself.
Some facts of the case
I communicated the findings to my friend from Delhi itself. I found the status of the case as on date as below.
The job was on apprenticeship and was due for regularization.

The payment was as a mere stipend.
Towards March 2009 end, the negotiations happened on the insistence of the native and an unsatisfactory com
pensation package was offered.
The native decided not to continue in the MNC and resigned in 1st week of April 2009 and is due to be released
by May 06, 2009.
Conclusion
Prof. Krishnamurthy has devised a pioneering predictive model in predictive astrology, which deserves sincere appreciation.

During the KP Astrologers Forums fortnightly meeting conducted on 26-Apr-2009, Charts on Medical
Astrology were taken up. Two natal charts regarding Breast Cancer were discussed in details. One
native underwent operation on early detection in 2005 and got cured. Second native underwent operations but could not sustain her life; she vacated the body on 11th April 2009.
In Medical astrology Natural Zodiac (Kalapursha) 4th Rasi Cancer, Moon as Rasi Lord rules the Breast,
Chest, Ribs, digestive organs, stomach. Moon as lord of this sign rules mammal glands, eye sight, mind,
alimentary canal, water in the body, kidneys and 4th cusp from lagna governs these parts. When Moon, Cancer Rasi, 4th
cusp from lagna if afflicted and connected to evil houses 6-disease, 8-chronic disease, 12-hospitalisation would lead to Breast
ailments. Jupiter is the planet for benign growth, Rahu / Kethu affliction leads to cancerous growth.

As per the Medical Astrology for All written by Sri K Subramaniam S/o Sri KSK Guruji, regarding Breast Cancer
occurs with more frequency in females due to the proneness of this disease to breast /uterus. Moons affliction in
Cancer rasi would lead to uterus and stomach problems and also breast. Kethu rules over the cells and tissues
would lead to incurable diseases. Saturn, Mars connection to Moon would lead to cancer of Uterus/Breast. If the
6th Sub-lord is Moon and afflicted by malefics and also connected to 4th cusp would lead this disease.

Introduction
Very recently we commemorated the birth centenary of the inventor of the Krishnamurti Paddhati
(KP) late K. S. Krishnamurti.The technique of KP is now almost half a century old and is evolving as one
of the most robust methods to offer astrological predictions.This is due to the fact that serious KP astrologers and researchers are putting in lots of effort to prune existing rules given in KP textbooks and
also developing new rules that bear greater degrees of reliability and predictive validity. However, such
activities are happening only at the individual level where personal passion and love for the science is
the determinant.
In the last few issues of KP EZine, we witnessed the effort of the Editor Sri Kanak Bosmia in spelling out a new
rule on political elections. It was mentioned that a political party or a political aspirant would get success 10th
(Ones position in politics) sublord signifies, 10 (Ones Reputation), 3 (Ones ability), 11 (Ones reputation as a
Winner) in the DBA of 3, 10, 11 then success is assured.
Therefore, this is an ex ante article written in order to find out how well the new rule apply to a variety of political situations.
Since the article is ex ante, we will be able to see the results for ourselves and later analyze the findings for the good or
worse for the new rule. I personally think this is the need of the hour for KP technique since we now need to find out newer
and newer rules and constantly re-check them as far as possible.
Investigations
In order to find the efficacy of the new rule, a political event was chosen from the international arena. It was as follows:
Panama Presidential Elections- 3rd May 2009:

Panamanians will elect a new president on May 3, 2009. For this election the main competitors are Balbina Herrera, of the
rulling Revolutionary Democratic Party, and Ricardo Martinelli, of the Democratic Change party.According to the latest opinion survey, Martinelli has 46% of the electorate, so he is the favorite to win. Balbina Herrera has 35% of popular support.
Here we go by the statistical rule of selection by elimination.This we do by putting the KP Horary questions Will Balbina
Herrera win the presidential elections of Panama 2009? at 3:03 pm on 24th April 2009 in 85 E 48 20 N 18 with KP
Horary number of 80 generated randomly by the software using Geocentric Latitude correction and KP Old Ayanamsa.

A solicitor in UK was going through an enquiry against him. He posed me this question what will happen
to him in the court. He furnished number 13 (1-249) for calculations.
I calculated on 21-4-2009 at 18-58-32 at Manchester ( UK ).
Rule
For court case and winning in any competition one has to check 6th cusp sub lord . it should signify 1
or 6 or 11 to win the case. And 5 or 7 or 12 to lose the case. Same thing should be checked for 11th cusp sub lord.
Checking 6th cusp sub lord
6th cusp falls in Sun sign , Venus star and Venus sub. Venus is posited in 12 ( heavy expenditure), as lord of 2 and 7. Venus is
in rapt conjunction with Mars, Mars is lord of 1 and 8.
Venus is in constellation of Saturn (R) in 6th house. Saturn is lord of 11th also.
Though retrogression of Saturn confused me but I positively but half heartedly said you will come out successful but have
to pay penalty. Why I said this, because of involvement of 8 and 12, it shows heavy fine.
Checking 11th cusp sub lord
11th cusp sub lord is Mars in 12, as lord of 1 and 8. Again confirming loss of money.
Mars is in Saturn star. Saturn is in 6th house and lord of 11 also. So through star lord Mars gains signification 0f 6th and
11th houses. Mars is in Mercury sub, Mercury is posited in 1, as lord of 3 and 4.
Result
The case was decided on 23-4-2009. Out of 21 allegations, the queerest came out successful in 20. In one case he was fined
more than one lac pounds.

This is one more case showing that the event can materialize when the cuspal sub lord is a strong significator of
the concerned houses although the cuspal sub lord is deposited in the star of retrograde planet as said by C.R. Bhatt
in his Prashna Jyotish.

The main point in this chart is lagna is Mesha, according to me Never select Chara lagna in KP Muhurat chart. Also when we select Abhijit muhurat or Sun in 10th, approximately 13th January to 13th Feb
or 13th May to 13th June or 13th July to 13th August or 13th October to 13th November, we get Chara
lagna as Asc. So during these months or when Sun is in Chara Rasi MESHA, KARKA,TULA AND MAKAR
does not select Abhijit Muhurat as per KP. Because at the same time we get Chara lagna. In any chart
we found same Swabhava (Nature) in Kendra, so when we select SUN in char rasi in 10 (Kendra) we
found lagna is also Chara.
Finally I observe from above two charts, that Indian public will have to be ready for another National Election within a short span of Time.
