Teaching Tips: Handwriting Write & Wipe

Using this file
You are able to print and photocopy these pages for your
non-commercial classroom and home use.
These write and wipe cards will help your students practice writing the letters of the alphabet in lower
and upper case.
Using markers is a fun away for students to become motivated about writing. Little pressure needs to be
exerted to achieve a good solid line, so students do not become frustrated.

Game Instructions: Handwriting Write & Wipe Cards

Equipment

Game Cards
Dry Erase Markers
Purpose

Students will trace letters of the alphabet, in both upper and lower case.

How to play:

This game may be for a small group of players or an individual student.

Players take an Handwriting card. They must say the letter sound and the name of
the letter.
Students then trace along the lines to form the letter.
Students complete the number of cards designated by their teacher, before
cleaning their cards.
