In this Lecture, we shall see..
how one can construct an inconsistent linear system.. by analyzing an image of a cross-sectional view of a human body through the X-Ray Scans ?? And since the system is inconsistent, we can talk of its approximate solutions..
Think Over it !!!! @@@
The basic problem of
Computed Tomography is to construct an image of a cross section of the human body using data collected from many individual beams of X rays that are passed through the cross section. These data are processed by a computer, and the computed cross-section is displayed on a video monitor. The left-sided figure here is a diagram of General Electrics CT system showing a patient Such a system is prepared to have crosssection also known as aa CAT of his head scanned by X ray Scanner. (i.e.:beams.
Computer Aided Tomography Scanner).
This figure shows a typical cross section of a human
Below figures illustrate two possible modes of scanning the crosssection:(1) The Parallel Mode (2) The Fan-Beam Mode (2) The Fan-beam mode
